"Stop running, child! How are you so tiny yet so fast? I'll be in so much trouble."
The shrill and worried voice echoed through the forest as a short creature ran through the forest almost tumbling through the undergrowth. His red skin glistened with sweat and his scaly legs barely keeping up with the excited child running ahead of him. His wide green eyes bulged in frustration, his tiny claws snapping twigs as he tried to move faster.
A few feet ahead of him, a little girl who looked like she was between the ages of eleven and twelve ran through the tall grasses barefoot. Her blue dress snagged on the sharp edges of the branches but that did nothing to slow her down. Her pigtails bounced with every step she took, her giggles were so pure yet loud scaring the birds trying to rest in their nest.
"I don't want to go back with you! I want to play with the animals! You just want me to learn!" She squealed, spinning once as if doing a silly dance before darting off again.
