In the Tama-Artist academies, Martial Arts don't exist. However, Bushi are trained the basics and given real life situation experience. To describe it frankly: Bushi go to the academy to know how to fight the other Villages, simply because, they are superfluous unlike the other classes of Tama-Artist.
