The Kurenai Village mortal veterans can be described as a worst of air. They spent most of their time using Miyato instead of improving strength, while they took his breadcrumbs. Now, the price of their efforts is being paid:
Their bodies lay scattered about with blood gushing at every single point; they were chopped up in various artistic ways —being dead is a blessing for them.
Their dead corpses were becoming a hindrance on the ground for those who still had the will to fight. An unpleasant odor came from them —added with that of the lack of bathing made it worse. Some were still alive screaming in pain, as horses walked on them, but no one cared!
