Not to mention, Jiang Chen's plan required Whis's cooperation.
"Aspara, you must be asking something of me, aren't you?" Angel Whis gave a satisfied little burp, then turned his gaze toward Jiang Chen, speaking with curiosity.
"Yes, Lord Whis. I wish to train Vegeta to become the new God of Destruction of their world. But since that world has no God of Destruction, I may need to trouble you, Lord Whis. And as for Goku, he may also require your guidance."
Jiang Chen nodded, making no attempt to conceal his intentions.
In the original story, Angel Whis was willing to train Son Goku and Vegeta. In this world, Jiang Chen believed he would not refuse either.
The only issue lay with GT's Son Goku and Vegeta.
Whis might not be willing, after all, they did not belong to the Seventh Universe, nor even to the Zen'ō (King of All)'s multiversal system.
So after finishing his explanation, Jiang Chen looked toward Angel Whis with slight nervousness.
Angel Whis pondered for a moment before speaking.
"Aspara, Goku and the others pose no problem. They are denizens of the Seventh Universe. Helping them grow stronger, I believe, would not bother Lord Beerus at all."
"But the Goku and Vegeta of that other world… they do not belong to the Seventh Universe, nor to the Zen'ō multiverse. Interfering recklessly in a different Universe system would be a violation of cosmic law."
Angel Whis spoke with a furrowed brow.
Hearing his words, Jiang Chen couldn't help but show a bitter smile. Even though he had expected this, facing the result still left him a little helpless.
Yet, as if sensing Jiang Chen's thoughts, Whis thought for a moment and then added:
"Training them… I'm afraid that I cannot do that. My apologies. However, if that world's Vegeta can pass the God of Destruction Assessment, that alone would be enough."
"As for Goku, he could be guided by the Old Kaiōshin. The Old Kaiōshin is no longer an active Kaiōshin, and thus not bound by those restrictions."
Angel Whis spoke with a faint smile.
Hearing these words, Jiang Chen's bitter smile gave way to eyes suddenly glowing with renewed hope.
"God of Destruction's Trial? Lord Whis, could it be that there is something like the Lookout of Time here as well?"
Jiang Chen asked in surprise.
"There isn't one here. But deep within the Twelve Universes, there is such a place."
"I can take Vegeta San there later. As for whether he can become a new God of Destruction, that I cannot guarantee."
Angel Whis replied with a light, cheerful tone.
"I understand! Thank you so much, Lord Whis!"
Jiang Chen's eyes lit up, and he quickly expressed his gratitude.
Though Whis himself would not personally teach them, the existence of such a pathway was more than enough.
After all, his original goal was simply to have Son Goku and Vegeta become, respectively, a Kaiōshin and a God of Destruction.
As for their power, it would be ideal if it increased. But if not, it wouldn't matter too much.
Especially in the case of GT Son Goku.
Others might not know, but Jiang Chen was well aware that GT Son Goku bore the mark of Dragon God Zalama.
And considering GT Goku's strength in Dragon Ball Super Hero, it was clear that greater opportunities still lay ahead for him.
"No need to thank me. Oh? It seems the Goku of that world is beginning to falter!"
Angel Whis spoke with a smile, though his gaze suddenly turned skyward as if sensing something.
Following his words and gaze, Jiang Chen also noticed that the battle had entered an entirely new stage.
After testing all of his strength, Son Goku had reached his limits, And Beerus, the God of Destruction, no longer seemed inclined to keep playing around.
"Boom!"
A terrifying aura erupted as Goku's body was sent hurtling downward like a cannonball.
"It's over."
"Hakai!"
"If you can't withstand this, you'll die."
Beerus's eyes gleamed with dangerous light. The next moment, an enormous sphere of destructive energy descended, crashing down toward the ground.
In that instant, an incomparably destructive force condensed across the battlefield.
"Haaah!!"
GT Son Goku felt the suffocating terror bearing down on him. Not daring to hold anything back, he released his full power in an instant.
At the same time, his body rapidly began to transform.
From his original Super Saiyan 4 state, his brown hair gradually shifted to a shining silver-white.
And with it, a far more violent, overwhelming power surged forth.
"Super Saiyan 5!"
"Boom!"
His aura exploded outward, instantly dispersing the massive destructive energy Beerus had unleashed.
And Son Goku's new form was fully revealed.
"Th-this… what is that?"
Countless figures below widened their eyes in shock, staring at the sky where GT Son Goku now hovered in his overwhelming new state.
Especially this timeline's Son Goku and Vegeta, both of their eyes widened in shock.
They were familiar with Super Saiyan 4.
But the state GT Son Goku was in before them now was something they had never seen before. And even though it was unfamiliar, GT Goku's terrifying aura still shook them to their core.
This was completely different from Super Saiyan God. The aura of Super Saiyan God couldn't truly be sensed.
One could vaguely perceive something, but its essence remained unclear.
But Super Saiyan 5, that power was the pinnacle of raw violence. The moment it erupted, it shook the entire God of Destruction's Planet.
It pressed down on everyone below as well.
Everyone except GT Vegeta, Jiang Chen, and Angel Whis felt an unprecedented sense of oppression.
In fact, for a brief instant, many of them even felt as though this oppressive force surpassed that of the God of Destruction Beerus.
How could such a result not leave them wide-eyed and breathless?
"Take a good look. This is the power of their world, born from the most primal force of the Saiyan bloodline. It is also called Super Saiyan 5."
Jiang Chen glanced at the crowd, then slowly offered his explanation.
"Super Saiyan 5…"
"So this is Super Saiyan 5?"
Raditz and the others' hearts surged with emotion. They had, of course, heard Jiang Chen speak of Super Saiyan 5 before.
But never did they expect to see it with their own eyes.
