Chapter 364 - 364: Did that mean they were the early test batch?

After finishing everything, he swayed slightly as he left the office.

The first class of the day was the early morning Alchemy lesson. This was a victory for Alchemy!

Today's class was the advanced group… the one Cedric and the Weasley twins were currently in.

The seventh-year students were about to leave Hogwarts, this safe ivory tower. It was about time for Kasenhis to teach them something that the current magical world was lacking.

For example, if Voldemort was still damn well alive by the end of this year, how were these young wizards, who had graduated and lost both the protection of Hogwarts and their status as students, supposed to survive safely in England?

That was a problem…

Voldemort and his Death Eaters might be completely unhinged, but in essence, they could still be considered…

Well, although in essence they were an armed terrorist organization, on the surface, when they weren't killing or burning things, they could still be regarded as a political group.

It was just that the methods of this group were a bit outrageous.

But a political group could still recognize what the real future was, what the true future of the magical world was. The future lay with young wizards. The future lay with education.

Young wizards, being naturally neutral and uninvolved, as long as they didn't openly side with Dumbledore, wouldn't be targeted.

Unless, of course, you stood out in broad daylight, shouting from a high place, "Everyone, look at me! I've got something to say! Voldemort and the Death Eaters are complete idiots! Voldemort, screw you! You're a half-blood, what gives you the right to act so arrogant!"

Or if some bored Muggle-born wizard decided to dance around like an idiot in front of a lunatic like Bellatrix Lestrange, then under normal circumstances, the Death Eaters wouldn't bother with them.

That was also why, even after Voldemort's confirmed return, the students at Hogwarts were still attending classes. Because once Voldemort came to power, at most it meant a change in the Ministry of Magic and a shift in teaching methods.

If you put someone else in charge… well, people would be Apparating so fast they'd probably leave a limb behind, and the students at Hogwarts would be running faster than Barry Allen.

In this regard, Voldemort was much more restrained. He respected education, even held a certain reverence for it. So if a student currently studying at Hogwarts… happened to run into Voldemort out of sheer bad luck,

in a sense, they might even survive.

For example, if that student was a pure-blood or a half-blood, and they politely waved and greeted him with a "Good day, Dark Lord," Voldemort's pretentious personality might even lead him to pat the student on the shoulder and say, "I have high hopes for you."

But once that student graduated and became an adult wizard, then in Voldemort's eyes, they turned into nothing more than a cold label.

For example… trash… mediocrity… or someone with talent…

A series of labels. If your own abilities weren't strong enough, it was easy to end up becoming nothing more than fuel for the fear Voldemort spread.

The mediocre ones were relatively lucky. Voldemort might not even bother looking at them.

But those with talent were a different story. As the saying goes, once you reach a certain level of strength, you no longer have the right to remain neutral.

If Voldemort saw a neutral party who hadn't joined him, then he would make sure they did.

"What? You won't join? Then what are you trying to do? Planning to join Dumbledore? Avada Kedavra!"

A newly graduated young wizard with a bit of talent: "End."

So, to avoid that kind of situation… mainly to help the useless rise to the level of mediocrity…

And to ensure that those with talent, when the unlucky day comes that they face Voldemort, have at least a tiny bit of ability to protect themselves.

After all, Hogwarts' happy-go-lucky style of education… well…

Those who get it, get it.

"Alright, children. Today I'm going to teach you a method that's ridiculously effective and can quickly boost your combat ability. I've previously published papers related to the arcane. You can find the crafting methods for the workbench, the arcane workbench, the arcane lenses, and even wands there."

"I hope all of you in my advanced class have taken a look at my papers, but if you haven't, that's fine. I've brought them with me." As Kasenhis spoke, he pulled out a large stack of his self-bound papers and handed them to Cedric. "Cedric, hand one out to everyone."

"As for this arcane field, to be honest, your level is… quite obvious. So for arcane alchemy, just stick to playing around with the crucible. As for the other methods, I'm not really expecting you to master them."

After Kasenhis finished speaking, the Weasley twins exchanged a glance, their expressions a mix of excitement and barely concealed delight.

Professor Kasenhis was saying up top that none of the students below could master arcane alchemy, yet the two of them had inherited his true teachings and were about to become ridiculously powerful enchanters.

Awesome!!!

Meanwhile, Cedric was clearly a bit distracted. He still wanted to study the smeltery from Tinkers' Construct. After all, ordinary metals, like steel mechanical arms… were only so effective. They were fine for beating weaker opponents, but against real threats…

Even without his mechanical arms, Professor Kasenhis could rely on advanced magic and strange alchemy to go head-on with Voldemort. But Cedric was just an ordinary, unremarkable Hogwarts student. He didn't have that kind of power.

So naturally, he had to explore other methods.

Just as he was thinking about all this, a piece of chalk shot toward his forehead at high speed.

Bang!

The force nearly knocked Cedric off his feet. When he looked up, he saw Kasenhis smiling at him. "What are you doing? Not paying attention?"

Cedric hurriedly pulled his wandering thoughts back together and gave an awkward smile. "I'm listening, I'm listening."

Kasenhis nodded. "You'd better be. Today I'm teaching you a complete progression, from crafting a workbench to upgrading your wand into a staff…"

As Kasenhis spoke, the Weasley twins listened from below, and the more they listened, the more something felt off…

Wasn't this exactly what he had taught the two of them before?

Did that mean they weren't actually his exclusive disciples in this field, but just some kind of early test batch?

The same terrifying thought appeared in both of the Weasley twins' minds at the same time.
