After a short while, Mr. Risu's colleague respectfully reminded him of the fact that we weren't the only ones standing in the queue. Realizing his hold-up, the old guard immediately let us through the towering entrance, politely apologizing to the upset faces waiting behind our group.
When we first stepped inside, it was completely pitch dark, so we instinctively took out a light stone lamp to guide our path. But that single, narrow entrance quickly led to another set of heavy doors, and soon enough, we were standing in a massive, sprawling room. The high walls, the thick structural pillars, the polished floors... absolutely everything in the room was a pure, blinding, unstained white.
This must have been incredibly onerous to maintain for all these years.
Ms. Murmurae's golden eyes lit up in absolute awe as she looked around, her voice echoing slightly in the vast space.
