"Tell this new chief that I'll listen to what he has to say" After a few seconds I looked at Charles before a sadistic smile appeared on my face.
"But if he waists my time I'll kill him" I said making Charles nod his head calmly despite my obvious killing intent.
"As you wish" The older man bowed his head and was about to say something else before the door to the office swung open.
"Atlas!" A loud voice rang out and I almost rolled my eyes as I recognized it.
I glanced over to find a man strolling into my office with a carefree expression. He was quite handsome with sharp features and sky blue eyes, His wavy blond hair that was neatly combed to the right eyes and he wore a pair of diamond earrings. Although The most noticeable thing about him was that he had an air of confidence around him that bordered on arrogance, Well that was a vast understatement.
"I've missed you friend" Kaiden smiled with his arms held out into a hugging position as he tried to come my way.
"If you touch me I'll cut off your arms" I said with a raised eyebrow making the blond man instantly pause.
"New couch?" Kaiden seamlessly moved his attention to the couch as if that was his original destination the entire time
"It's the same couch that's been there for years" I rolled my eyes.
"If you say so" Kaiden fell back and proceeded to kick his feet onto the glass table in front with a carefree smile.
"So what have you been up to?" He asked while putting his hands behind his head and looking in my direction.
"This isn't your bedroom boy" I didn't have a chance to respond though as Charles narrowed his eyes at Kaiden's behavior.
"Don't call me boy you old geezer" Kaiden clicked his tongue and didn't move from his position as he spoke.
"You have no respect" Charles's expression was one of pure distaste as if he was looking at nothing more than a bug.
"And you~"
"Charles" I cut off Kaiden before he could speak.
"Deliver the message to the chief please" I said lookin at Charles who was already giving me his full attention.
"As you wish your majesty" Charles bowed his head and turned around to leave while glancing at Kaiden with unkind eyes.
"Ha…" I let out a deep breath when he was out of the office and stood up from my desk.
"Didn't I already tell you to stop acting like a child?" I chastised Kaiden as I sat down on the chair next to the couch.
"It's not my fault that old man is so set in his ways" Kaiden rolled his eyes while crossing his legs comfortably.
"He's lucky he doesn't have a daughter" He grinned toward me with a smile that said all that needed to be said.
"Ha…" I let out another sigh.
"You just got back from the trading city?" I asked leaning back onto the chair and crossing my arms together.
"It was so boring" Kaiden groaned throwing his head back.
"Why did you send me?" He glanced over at me with a hateful expression as if he wanted to punch me in the face.
"Just send that suck up Kai next time" Kaiden said and I couldn't help but laugh slightly.
"Kai had other things to do unlike you" i replied while a hidden thought appeared in my head.
'Like sleeping with my wife….' Just the words alone made my heart skip a beat from how filthy they were.
"Ugh!" Kaiden threw his head back again with a loud groan to follow suit.
"I hate you" He glanced over at me with another hatful expression.
"What did I do?" I asked wondering if I should hit him over the head a couple times to fix his personality.
"What didn't you do?" Kaiden scoffed and pointed at me with a finger of accusation.
"You became an emperor and married four of the most beautiful women on the continent" He whined like a child leaving me completely speechless.
"Still hung up on Dawn huh?" I couldn't help but laugh making Kaiden instantly glare at me with anger in his eyes.
"What are you yapping about?" Kaiden rolled his eyes but i could see a hint of melancholy in his gaze.
Seeing such an unserious person with an expression like that was quite weird but I wasn't surprised, The truth was that long ago Kaiden had been helplessly in love with Dawn. It wasn't a simple type of love but the kind where he talked about her every second of every day, I still remember Kaiden burning my ears off constantly about the 'Pretty princess' with droopy eyes. The story was long but to dumb it down, Kaiden had been planning to confess to her during the holiday only for Dawn to tell me that she had feelings for me before he had the chance.
I felt bad at the time but I couldn't deny that I shared the same feelings as Dawn.
"I saw her first…." I heard Kaiden mutter while staring at the ceiling and I could only raise my eyebrow at him.
"It's been years and no one's stopping you from finding a nice woman and getting married" I rolled my eyes not really feeling the same guilt that I had when we were teenagers.
"Marriage isn't for me" Kaiden clicked his tongue and he let out a deep sigh.
"I'm sure" I nodded in agreement since I knew how much he liked to sleep around with countless women.
