Chapter 37 - C36 - Giant Slaying

"Walls!"

With the shout of Cementoss, a teacher/hero at UA responsible for fast repair of damages to the school facilities and quirk practice, mountain of concrete manifested and rose from the ground, blocking the eyesight of the villain with restraining quirk. Taking advantage of ally's help, the dog mutant hero Hound Dog swung his fist to knock the villain barraging him off, stood up before dashing along the walls of concrete to approach the enemies' rear.

"For Liber-"

"He is here! The frontliners fail!"

With the conveyed message spreading through to the villains with ranged quirks, they switched their targets to the dog hero and fired at his silhouette inside the concrete smokescreen. With no regards for allies, they used everything they got trying to kill the hero but the speed of a mutant, especially a dog mutant on four legs, let him clear up the enemies.

But the reinforcements coming from the portals once again arrived and the heroes trying to hold back the noticeably strong villains once again let a few weaker-looking villains passed. They do not have the choice, either defeating the main forces or trying to take down everyone and risked being killed. They could put their trust in the to-be-heroes inside the school.

Octopus tentacles combined with periwinkle energy waves travelled along the school halls, keeping back the villains from approaching the upper floors. It was the main entrance so only the best students were allocated to protect the location. Two of The Big 3 were now in their hero costumes, Suneater and Wonder Hero, had defeated tens or even a hundred and more. Yet the coming waves never stopped.

"How are you doing, Neji? My breakfast is almost out of my mouth!"

Spat Suneater as his other hand turned into that of a crab he had eaten in one of his emergency battle pills. Using the exoskeleton to redirect a villain's hammer-hands, someone who had tried to strike from his side, the hero used his pincer to destroyed the neck of the villain in one simple pinch.

"Prettily good!"

Shouted Nejire as she fired a wave attack at the wall to reflect into the crowd. Even against those that want to kill her, Nejire only focused on incapacitating them.

'Electric! Multiple quirks!'

Both dodge to the side behind some rubbles as a lightning bolt struck where they had just been. The lightning did not dissipate but bounce off the floor like a stone thrown onto a lake. The skipping lightning temporarily distracted the two allowing for an opportunity for a villain to breakthrough. She was climbing on the ceiling so they did not catch her in time. But before she could get far, she was shot down.

"You two! Our side is done. We will be helping you two. Take the gas masks."

"That slut! Sh-"

"Villains should not be awake and wrecking chaos."

"Midnight!"

"Portals, it has been quite some time since someone has used mass portals as quick deployment of soldiers. People have been getting dumber and dumber in terms of quirk usage. "

Nezu spoke to the one who had gone out of his way to reach the principal office.

"So why are you here?"

"You already know the reason. Aren't you the one who has contacted me?"

"Yes, but we are not clear with our intention aren't we?"

"That is true. It has been a hassle trying to reach your office."

On the villain's body were bullet holes, healing bullet holes. It was purely his caution that had prevented his death. Who knew the first thing he saw after sneaking in from the back were explosive shells being fired at him. They were dealt with via quirk but the impact of a 10-ton ram was not something that could be healed so quickly. Nevertheless, he had managed to get through security with not too bad of a state.

"I am going for a way out."

"So All For One does not take care of you anymore?"

"It's more like taking care of his future body for him. That was the original plan. But later in the future, he has managed to heal himself back up. So now I am here acting as one of his pawns."

"Why?"

"...What do you mean with 'why'? "

"Revenge? Power? What pushes you to stabbing him in the back?"

"Let's call it personal feelings. I'm going to show my goodwill first."

"Speak."

Shigaraki pressed something inside his pocket and soon after, an earthquake shook the flying school. Nezu felt no intimidation against the action. How could he when if a single thought, the room security could replace the villain's location with plasma. Beside, the weight would only lower the height, not sending the flying school to the ground. He had personally designed this place to be a possible stage for All Might. This much force was nothing but child play for the project between Nezu and I-Island.

"You must know about Gigantomachia? My goodwill is removing him from the board. How is it?"

"..Good. But not enough. I want you to do it yourself. Someone must follow you around. Oh, this is also my goodwill."

Something snapped at the villain's neck. A thick metal collar had been worn, the blinking light counting down from 20 minutes.

"Get going then, villain. I am hoping to see something done."

The villain stood up and left via the way he had entered. Nezu needed to confirmation to know that someone was already tailing the villain. The principal turned to a file of a deceased hero whose smile sent hope to everyone years ago. All Might's first master.

"...Human is so subjective to their own world."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seawater rushing through the portal accompanying the giant figure. Everyone on the battlefield all stood in awe in front of the being. The first group to continue their assault was the villains. They had been informed of a secret weapon belonging to their newfound ally so they managed to snap out of it.

The giant figure was missing half of his body. He was only maintaining his balance with a hastily regenerated pair of arms. His only eye left scanned the unfamiliar place, the one word appeared in his mind.

"MASTER!"

With a roar calling for the god of him, the giant destroyed any nearby eardrums. He took a glance at the surrounding fighting and ... did nothing. Without any order, he must not do anything else Master would get angry. The heroes, seeing the stationary giant, threw him to the back of their minds and began anew their defense. Despite the countless fighting surrounding him, the giant' eye only lit up seeing a familiar figure.

"Young Mast-?!"

Not even letting the subordinate of All For One speak, an edge of will slice through the supporting beams lifting the body. Decay was the flesh and soon the giant recognized that his beloved young master had betrayed the Master.

He knew what he needed to do. The giant threw his body forward, the fall creating such strong wind that everyone fell. The growing silhouette due to a quirk helping him adapt to threat, the giant was shocked to feel the space around Shigaraki was not only holding back against his mass but was actually eating away. The giant began rising his boy up again, his legs now strong enough to allow standing. Now at 20 meters, the villain began punching recklessly at the location of Shigaraki, who was weaving his way into the back of the Meta Liberation Army.

"Nooo-!"

Those unfortunate enough to be hit entirely with the punch were reduced to red splatters inside craters. The shock disrupted any movement as earthquakes shook everyone's legs. Therefore, the most common injury from the wild flurry of Gigantomachia was missing body parts as the force tear through any defense and tore off the body partially.

Jumping over a crater and half a body, Shigaraki continued to seek out new targets. The desperate soldiers attacked him, trying to push him away from their place and therefore push the meteoric punches of Gigantomachia.

'Sloppy quirks.'

Thought Shigaraki as another group of villains disappeared beneath Gigantomacia's punches. Less and less villains were crossing onto UA's ground as news about the havoc torched upward to the commanders.

'Without anymore targets for Gigantomachia to hit... time to kill him.'

The super soldier of All For One possessed a large number of quirks but the majority of them were physical boosting.

'No sleep, cannot be stopped if moving past a certain speed, regeneration amped up further more, basic adaptation, durability and strength. And a quirk controlling him from All For One. I need to get him to be still.'

Shigaraki ran toward the feet. Gigantomachia swung his arms, trying to scoop up the area where the villain was but it was not fast enough for Shigaraki's enhanced physics. With a necessary prolonged touch, he was lifted up along with the leg but Shigaraki timed his release to free fall as soon as Gigantomachia stamp the ground, making the climb for Shigaraki much easier.

'The hip!'

The quirk began to tear the area he had touched and spread to other region. Gigantomachia's body grew more mass in order to stall the decay but Shigaraki had been able to disable the legs. The falling tower hit the UA leaving a deep carve out. Shigaraki utilized the floors to rush to the scalp of the giant.

Flinging his body around like a fish and bringing more structure falling, Gigantomachia was shocked feeling something touching his neck. The head was separated from the body. The muscles, nerves, and veins struggled to reconnect as Shigaraki began digging his way to the brain of Gigantomachia.

The final thought on Gigantomachia's mind was how badly he had failed to deal with Master's betrayers.
