Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Rank 1

Three days had passed since the end of the trial.

During these three days, Ryan had not immediately used the Intermediate Beast Blood, but instead concentrated on consolidating his foundation and completely refining the remaining Low-Grade Beast Blood he had obtained from the Fire Lion. By now, all of that beast blood had been consumed, and in exchange, Ryan's physical strength had risen significantly.

Based on his own estimation, his current strength was already around 125 points, at the Peak Stage of Blood Warrior Apprentice, and only around five points separated him from the 130-point threshold required to become a Rank 1 Blood Warrior, but that was still not enough.

"I wonder how much greater the effect of Intermediate Beast Blood will be?" Ryan looked at the small container of Intermediate Beast Blood in front of him and opened it.

He naturally didn't dare consume too much at once, so he only took a small amount.

Boom!

Almost immediately, a violent surge of energy erupted inside his body. The power contained in Intermediate Beast Blood was far more intense than that of Low-Grade Beast Blood, but the benefits were also considerably greater.

Ryan immediately began circulating Essence Qi, again and again, and the powerful energy from the beast blood continued spreading through his body while he repeatedly guided and refined it through his cultivation. Gradually, his awareness of time faded, and his body almost seemed to continue the cultivation process instinctively.

Only when Ryan sensed that the energy contained in that small amount of Intermediate Beast Blood was nearly exhausted did he slowly stop and open his eyes.

"I actually completed around eight times as much cultivation as I normally could during the same period?" Ryan carefully thought back over the cultivation session, and a look of surprise appeared on his face.

In the past, attempting to cultivate so intensely in one continuous session would have exhausted his body, but with Intermediate Beast Blood constantly supplying energy, not only had he managed to complete it, he still felt energetic afterward.

"An eightfold cultivation increase!" Ryan carefully sensed the changes in his body, estimated the effect, and his eyes brightened.

The auxiliary cultivation effect of Intermediate Beast Blood was terrifying. If he could continuously cultivate with a resource like this, then with his Advanced Cultivation Talent, reaching Rank 1 Blood Warrior within a month might actually be possible.

"3 portions of Intermediate Beast Blood should allow me to cultivate for around 3 days, that should be more than enough to push my strength past 130 points and let me break through to Rank 1 Blood Warrior!" Ryan roughly estimated.

Once his strength crossed 130 points, combined with his Medium Reflex Talent and his saber combat ability, ordinary Blood Warrior Apprentices would no longer pose much of a threat to him, and even against someone who had only recently advanced to Rank 1 Blood Warrior, Ryan believed he would be able to fight.

Thinking of this, Ryan looked at the remaining Intermediate Beast Blood with anticipation.

"Continue cultivating!"

For the next several days, Ryan focused almost entirely on cultivation, and with the assistance of Intermediate Beast Blood, his cultivation speed was astonishing, Essence Qi circulated through his body again and again, while the powerful energy contained within the beast blood continuously strengthened his physique.

130 points, the threshold that separated Blood Warrior Apprentices from true Blood Warriors was finally crossed, and Ryan had officially become a Rank 1 Blood Warrior.

But he did not stop, the 3 portions of Intermediate Beast Blood had not yet been completely consumed, and Ryan naturally wasn't going to waste even a small amount, so he continued cultivating.

After roughly 3 days, all 3 portions of Intermediate Beast Blood were finally exhausted, and without such a valuable resource assisting him, Ryan's cultivation speed immediately slowed. However, with his Advanced Cultivation Talent, even his normal cultivation speed was far beyond what it had once been, so he continued training steadily.

Days passed one after another, and in the blink of an eye, 1 month had gone by.

Ryan stood in the familiar grove and slowly clenched his fist. The improvement during this month had been enormous, after testing his strength several times, he estimated that he now possessed roughly 400 points of physical strength. 1 month ago, he had only just been approaching the threshold of Rank 1, but now he had already progressed considerably beyond it, so Ryan was naturally satisfied.

Unfortunately, without beast blood and similar cultivation resources, his rate of improvement had slowed significantly compared with those first few days. After all, Intermediate Beast Blood was simply too valuable to use continuously, and even wealthy families couldn't casually provide unlimited quantities of it to every young Blood Warrior.

But Ryan wasn't in a hurry, with Advanced Cultivation Talent, his future cultivation speed was already extremely fast. More importantly, another month had passed, and the 1-month cooldown that had begun after he copied Leon Vance's Medium Reflex Talent had finally ended, which meant his copying ability was available again.

"I can copy another talent!" Ryan's eyes flashed slightly.

...

Blake family.

During the month following the joint trial, Connor Blake had also spent most of his time cultivating in seclusion, and his purpose was simple, to break through.

Before the trial, Connor's strength had already reached around 125 points, he was only 1 step away from Rank 1, and after returning home, the Blake family naturally provided him with the resources needed for his breakthrough, and now, he had succeeded, Connor Blake had officially become a Rank 1 Blood Warrior.

For the Blake family, this was naturally something worth celebrating. Connor was still young, and reaching Rank 1 at his age meant that his future prospects were far greater than those of ordinary Blood Warriors.

While the members of the Blake family were celebrating, Connor himself was sitting inside a room with an old man standing respectfully in front of him. The old man's name was Gideon Shaw, he had served the Blake family for many years and was one of Connor's trusted retainers.

Connor leaned back in his chair and looked at him.

"Gideon, how is the investigation going?"
