"Hmm!" I cleared my throat, turning away from him.
I heard him snicker, "Fine. We'll do it your way then,"
"Good." I responded. "I guess my work here is done." I added, and started packing up my stuffs.
"Uhm, wait," he uttered when I stood up to leave. He stood up as. "We still have the whole day, do you want to hang out? Let's go somewhere and have fun."
I was... Tempted. I almost said yes immediately, i suddenly liked being around him.
"And why in the lord's name would I want to spend my entire day with you?" I questioned instead.
He smiled, "Hey c'mon."
"No." I replied and walked away, he followed me pleading even till we got to the stairs, and met Dick who was munching on a sandwich, he seems to have been about to walk up the stairs to meet us up at Wally's room.
"Athena c'mon, pleasssse," Wally continued to beg.
"What's up?" Dick grinned at us.
"We're done with our school work, so I just wanted to treat her," Wally told.
"Let me guess, you said no?" Dick said to me.
"I have stuffs to do." I responded.
"Stuffs like?" Dick continued.
"Not like it's any of your business. Well, stuffs like... Hanging out with my friend- Brit." I lied, Brit and I didn't plan to hang out today.
"Cool, let's all hang out then," Dick requested.
"Uh? I don't think-"
"Love it! Make it a double date." Wally commented.
"It's not a date!" I scowled at him.
"Please Athena," Dick pleaded. I'm pretty sure he's just using this as an excuse to hangout with Brit. If he wants to hangout with her, he should just tell her, why drag me into this. But oh well, I'm pretty sure Brit will be more than thrilled to hangout with him too.
"Fine." I responded.
"Yeah!" They both chorused.
I smiled, "I'll call her now."
I called Brit, and like I said, more than thrilled. So I sent her Wally's address, so she'd meet us here.
When I was done, I proceeded to joining Dick and Wally in the sitting room they were playing games at.
"Well? What did she say?" Dick asked me immediately I walked in.
"She's on her way." I told.
"Cool." He smiled.
"I'll be back," he added, and left.
I sat on the couch close to Wally. He was busy with and immersed in the video game he was playing.
I just couldn't take my eyes off him. His ginger red hair was disheveled, his green iris flickered as he played the game with so much zeal and focus. My eyes moved to his lips, his thin pink lips, his tongue ran across it then he licked his lower lips- His lips looks so soft, I wondered how they'd feel if I touched them... With my fingertips of course!
I continued to stare at him, his magnificent jawline, then my eyes landed on his Adam's apple- I swallowed the sudden lump in my throat.
"Stop checking me out," his voice broke me out of the trance.
"Huh? W-What?" I voiced, and he just snickered.
I turned away from him, why was I even checking him out so obviously!
"Do you want to play?" I heard him say again.
I turned towards him again, "Yeah," then I grabbed the gaming pad, just to make the air between us less awkward.
He then proceeded to choose the characters for us, it was a combat game.
"Okay," he uttered, then we started playing. Boy was he good!
I don't really play any game, talk less of a video game like this.
"You suck!" He said with a chuckle.
"Really?" I responded and knocked off his pad from his hands.
"Hey!" He reacted. "You little cheater!" He added.
I was smiling from ear to ear. He tried to grab my pad from my hands, but I stretched it away from him, my hand on his chest pushing him further away from my other stretched hand that was holding the pad.
My hand on his chest gave way and he was soon hovering above me. The pad in my hand was long gone by now. His emerald green eyes held me in place. The back of his hand ran from my neck to my face, then he sent some strands of my hair to the back of my ear, and smiled. And I just watched it happen! I just let him do it!
He started leaning in. It gave me Deja Vu. I remember him doing this before, the first time I came to his house... Only this time... I wanted to kiss him. I wanted to kiss him too.
My hand dug into his soft hair and I leaned towards him too.
"Brit's here- Oh." Dick walked in on us, and I pushed Wally away from me immediately.
"Ouch!" Wally voiced, holding his chest exaggeratedly.
"Sorry for interrupting whatever was going on here," Dick continued, a smirk on his lips. Brit was right behind him.
"Nothing was going on, Dick!" I responded and stood up to meet Brittany.
Dick chuckled.
I can't believe this- I.actually.freaking.wanted.to kiss Wally too!
Wallson William... What are you doing to me?
My eyes moved to him. He was looking away but a cute smile hung on his lips. I couldn't help but bite down on my lower lip.
In the next few minutes, we were out of the house and in Wally's car.
"Let's get something to eat first," Wally suggested, and we all agreed.
Brit and I were at the back seats of the car while Wally and Dick were at the front, Wally was driving.
We made a stop at this cool burger place, and got some drinks, burgers and fries. We ate there, chatting happily- Well they did most of the talking, I was just trying to avoid Wally's eyes. But as fate would have it, we both went for the ketchup at the same time and so our hands touched- My eyes instinctively went to his.
"Oh! Sorry, you can have it-"
"No you have it," he cuts in.
"No it's fine." I responded.
Dick grabbed the ketchup immediately, "What's with you two?" He snickered. Then he started pouring the ketchup for us. He poured for Wally first.
"That's enough." Wally said once he was okay with the amount of ketchup on his fries. Then Dick proceeded to pouring for me.
"I'm good." I responded, once I was okay too.
"So where are we planning to hang out?" Brit inquired.
"There's this cool new arcade place, I promise it'd be fun." Dick answered.
"Awesome!" Brit responded.
"What about you Athena?" Dick asked.
"Me? Uhm... Cool!" I replied.
"Great!" Dick responded.
Cool... Universe please don't let today get any more awkward with Wally.
