Chapter 117 - 116. Dinner

Chapter 116

We returned to the Emiya mansion before Shirou , and since evening was approaching, it was decided to start preparing dinner. And perhaps it would be nice to do something close to a celebratory dinner.

- To cook something like that? - I muttered thoughtfully. While Oz and Shiki for some reason looked at each other with interest.

- Listen, who is this anyway? - Tosaka pulled me out of my thoughts , having just now entered the kitchen and decided to ask me first about our new addition.

"She will be the one who will perform the operation," I answered, having finally decided that I would cook and began to take the ingredients out of the inventory.

- You said you would do everything yourself, - the girl frowned.

- That's how it was . - I nodded in agreement, carefully washing the carrots and potatoes, which I eventually sent to boil. And then, in separate pots, the eggs and beets. - But in the end, a better option was found.

- What's so special about her?

- Besides the fact that she can probably chop up almost anyone and anything on her own? - I chuckled, however, Tohsaka did not share my amusement and I answered more seriously, while simultaneously starting to make my signature meat platter. - She has the eyes of death perception and she has much more experience than me. Considering how she "killed" even something as complex as a disease inside a person and the very concept of foresight by depriving one of her opponents of the power of mystical eyes, it will not be difficult for her to deal with the worms inside Sakura, and I will be able to calmly ensure that even if something goes wrong, she does not die.

-… does that mean it will all happen tonight? – the girl asked slightly nervously.

"That's right," I nodded and, having decided to calm her down a little, turned away from cooking.

- Don't worry, when I was much weaker, I healed a guy whose lower body was torn off, while also restoring his lost limbs. So as long as it's not instant death, I'll save her.

- I see... Can I help you with anything?

- Help? Hmm, you can peel the vegetables. - I put a full bag of potatoes and carrots next to her, and I didn't forget about the onion either.

- What are you cooking anyway? - The girl was slightly taken aback when I showed her the volume of work.

- Well, a little bit of everything? Boiled potatoes, carrots and eggs will go into the Olivier salad. Everything is the same except the eggs, but also the beets will go into another equally delicious salad. What you are peeling will be baked with cheese, mayonnaise and mackerel in the oven after the potatoes are boiled. - While I was explaining to her, I had already managed to move on to preparing a salad that I personally really liked from my past life. "Red Sea", for which I was now cutting crab sticks into thin strips.

Tosaka doubted .

- Well... let me think. In addition to our company of six yesterday, Mordred and Arturia can be counted as three each, three more people will be added to our table, that is, we need to cook for about 13 people... - I said and, after examining the products prepared for cooking, after a little hesitation, added. - Perhaps I'll add something else from my supplies.

-…Okay. – the girl sighed and got to work.

"BOOM!" - suddenly a sound resembling an explosion came from the yard.

"Mordred?" I called the knight's girl over our connection.

- What was that? - Tohsaka jumped up , while Shiki and Oz simply ignored what happened.

"Sorry," came the immediate response, tinged with guilt.

"Please be careful," I sighed before reassuring Rin . "It's just that Mordred overdid the training."

"I hope there wasn't too much destruction," I added, sighing again.

- What is the point of training the spirit?

- She just needed to let off some steam and perhaps if I weren't cooking I would join her. I think it would be useful to cross blades with her. - I answered, returning to cooking.

Giving me a rather eloquent look that showed everything she thought about mages who fought head-on with saber- class heroic spirits , Rin focused on the vegetables again until a few seconds later, she suddenly froze for a moment, a smile spreading across her face.

- Archer . – she called the servant.

Emiya appeared next to her with a sigh .

- Help, - the girl ordered, shoving the potato into the hands of the heroic spirit, who had long since given up on the idea of explaining to her that he was not a servant in the literal sense of the word, so he humbly got down to business, significantly accelerating the progress.

By the time Shirou returned to the house with Saber , Taiga Fujimura and Sakura. Most of the dishes were already prepared and placed on the table, and the entire house was filled with the amazing smell of the almost-ready baked mackerel, which was opened inside out and baked with vegetables, mayonnaise and cheese. Even Mordred forgot about her disappointment with Shiki and sat at the table almost drooling in anticipation of when she could finally eat.

- Shiro, what is that delicious smell? Have you decided to pamper your sister today? - the cheerful voice of an excited girl rang out as she hurried into the living room.

- EEE?! - Taiga exclaimed in surprise, seeing how at an unknown reason the set table had grown larger, there were 4 beauties and a man suspiciously similar to an older version of Shiro . It was so surprising that instead of even going in, she suddenly ran back to Shiro and we heard how she tried to find out in a loud whisper what was going on.

Arturia , led by the smell, entered the living room , and behind her, in the doorway, appeared Sakura's face full of curiosity, who did not dare to show herself completely. And when I waved my hand to her in greeting, she hid like a frightened rabbit, and judging by how her voice soon sounded, she also decided to join in questioning the poor guy.

"Does anyone want to help him?" I asked, looking around at the assembled group.

- No.

- He can handle it himself.

- It will be a useful experience for him.

The answers followed immediately and I had no choice but to get up with a sigh and come to the rescue myself. When I went out into the corridor, I saw a picture of a guy, not knowing where to go, pressing his back against the wall while two girls were pressing on him from both sides, and Sakura's face clearly showed great concern.

- Fujimura -san, Mato -san, please come to the table. I will try to give you as detailed an explanation of what is happening as possible. - I addressed the girls who immediately left the guy.

"I... maybe I should leave? " Sakura asked Emi uncertainly before Taiga could answer me.

- It's not worth it, because we, like your sister Tosaka, Rin, besides everything else, we are here also because of you.

- Me? - Sakura's eyes widened in surprise.

- Yes, please come in. - I gestured for them to enter the living room.

As they passed me, I allowed myself to take a closer look at their appearance and, frankly speaking, it's amazing what beauties Shiro has been living with for quite some time now.

Sakura, a short girl with long purple hair, decorated with a pink ribbon on the left side, which was a gift from Rin from the past, when she was also a Tohsaka . And her figure was, perhaps, ideal, a slender waist and perfectly neat breasts and butt. What can I say, the genes of the Tohsaka sisters are really good.

Well, Taiga, although slightly inferior in appearance to each of the girls present, is still a fairly young and attractive girl with short light brown hair and brown eyes.

Taiga and Sakura ended up sitting on either side of Shiro , who sat at the head of the table.

- Wait a second, I'll get the mackerel. - Having said this, I hurried to the oven, from where I eventually took out a baking tray with perfectly baked fish, which was surrounded by potatoes baked to a golden crust. From which the already intense and extremely appetizing smell became even more noticeable. Even my mouth almost started to water while I was laying everything out on the dish.

And when I brought the dish to the table, somehow it happened that Taiga and Sakura completely forgot about wanting to know what was going on and instead of talking, everyone started eating. It was nice to see how much pleasure they devoured my cooking, but as soon as the first hunger was satisfied, Taiga finally came to her senses.

- Wait a minute! You still haven't explained to me what such a crowd is doing at Shiro's house. - Taiga jumped up, accusingly pointing her finger at me, and Sakura, who was sitting to the left of Shiro , nodded in agreement, also focusing her attention on me, while periodically glancing at her sister, who was calmly stuffing her stomach.

"Yes, perhaps it is indeed time to give you some explanation," I agreed, after which Taigo , ready to listen attentively, returned to her seat, taking her chopsticks in her hand, apparently planning to listen while not forgetting about food.

-First of all, to dispel any doubts you may have, we weren't trying to simply use Kiritsugu's name to get a place to stay, and Shirou received a very generous payment for providing us with a roof over our heads during our stay in Fuyuki .

- Hm? - Taiga looked questioningly at Shiro .

- She gave me a whole gold bar weighing 13 kilos, - the guy sighed.

- Cough, cough , how much? - Taiga choked on a piece of fish and barely squeezed it out.

"Hmm, today I exchanged a kilogram for one million yen, so at least 13 million yen, that's enough to pay for the temporary inconvenience, right?" I asked Taiga.

- Ha-ha-ha. Of course, of course. - the girl laughed happily, and Sakura looked at her as if she were a traitor. - Besides, you know, Shiro is just an amazing cook.

- But why did you decide to stay here? - Sakura asked, plucking up her courage, realizing that she shouldn't count on Taiga.

- The thing is, ten years ago, his adoptive father Emiya Kiritsugu left some unfinished business and it so happened that Shirou managed to get involved in it, so we are here to help him not get bogged down in problems even deeper. - I explained without going into details.

- ... - Having received the answer, Sakura fell silent for a moment before focusing her gaze on Rin and asking decisively. - Why are you here, sister?

Before Rin could answer, I took the floor again.

- Please forgive me for answering for her, but I think that when you find out the reason for her arrival, you yourself will prefer that the details remain more personal, I can only say that this is good news, so I ask you to stay the night as well, and find out the details in private.

- I... okay. - Sakura answered uncertainly. And Tohsaka , who had been interrupted by me , seemed to be trying to burn a hole in me with her gaze.

The rest of the dinner went quite normally, we chatted calmly, told a little about ourselves, trying not to touch on the supernatural parts of life. And at the end, Taiga announced that she would also stay the night, because as a teacher she cannot leave a young guy surrounded by a bunch of girls without supervision, and Archer managed to disappear without being noticed.
