After much hesitation, he still dialed the number of Kevin Clark, far away in Las Vegas.
It didn't take long for the call to connect.
Kevin Clark, speaking, didn't sense the seriousness of the issue at all, still in his usual tone: "Frank, how are things? How are you guys?"
"The ship should arrive tomorrow morning, by then we can head back."
"That's good, good luck to you, Frank, everything will pass."
Still hesitating, Roger Frank thought for a moment and spoke up: "Commander Clarke, there's something I have to tell you."
"What's wrong?"
Something seemed off in this voice, Kevin Clark somehow instinctively felt that something had indeed happened.
"Commander, Taylor has betrayed us."
A simple and clear sentence made Kevin Clark almost think he heard wrong: "You're joking, Frank, are you sure you're sober now?"
Without absolute evidence, Kevin Clark absolutely did not believe Taylor could be a traitor.
How could this be possible?
