In fact, the vast majority of assassin organizations are secretly supported by some great clans and aristocratic families; however, because the Northern Fringe is truly barren, there actually aren't many assassin organizations there.
That said, there is one assassin organization, the Palace of Darkness, which is renowned and extremely bizarre, in no way inferior to many great clans!
The Palace of Darkness is divided into Ten Halls, with ten Hall Masters. It's said that every Hall Master is a master of the Innate Realm; just this alone puts them far above ordinary great clans.
However, this Palace of Darkness has always acted in secret. Several families once joined forces to try to wipe them out, but none succeeded; instead they suffered heavy losses from the Palace of Darkness's retaliation, their vitality greatly damaged.
