Perhaps in the past, the Holy See would clamor for burning all heretics, and all those who did not believe in the light would be judged.
But now, even though the Holy See still retains the framework of a Middle Age Heresy Court, it no longer flaunts it, as even the mighty Holy See cannot withstand worldly opinions.
However, the changes in the secular world over the past century have been tremendous, not only with vampires, wolf clans, and these dark creatures beginning to hide in the shadows of the world.
Even the Holy See, which was at its zenith, had to become more low-key, though its influence remained terrifying, outwardly it no longer appeared as ostentatious and domineering as before.
But this only means that their activities in the secular world are less frequent.
Over the years, the Holy See has never ceased its hunt for dark creatures.
