Let's get started

*******************************

Winter had arrived at Hogwarts. On a morning in early December, Hogwarts was found covered in two meters of snow. The lake was frozen solid, and the Weasley twins were punished for bewitching several snowballs to follow Quirrell and hit him in the back of his turban. The few owls that had managed to make it through the stormy sky to deliver the mail had to be cared for by Hagrid until they recovered before flying again.

Everyone was impatient for the holidays to begin. While the Slytherin common room and the Great Hall had their fires lit, the drafty corridors had turned freezing, and a cruel wind battered the classroom windows. The worst of all were Professor Snape's classes down in the dungeons, where the breath rose like fog, making them stay as close as possible to their warming cauldrons. At the end of class, Harry quietly left the Potions classroom with Neville, Daphne, and Tracey. Everything was going well for the group, but then they groaned at the sound of a voice they hated leading the way.

-"Well, well, Potter,"- Malfoy appeared in front of them with a smug smile. Beside him were his two cronies. -"Your Potions creation is still mediocre. Just as mediocre as your Seeker creation."-

Harry sighed wearily at their mockery. After the Quidditch match, Malfoy had become more unpleasant than ever. Disgusted that Slytherin had won thanks to him, he had tried to make everyone laugh by saying that a toad with a big mouth could replace Harry as Seeker; but then he realized that no one found it funny because they were so impressed by the way Harry had stayed on his broomstick. So Malfoy, jealous and angry, had returned to bothering Harry daily.

-"Whatever, Malfoy,"-

Harry replied calmly, ignoring him with the others. Malfoy didn't seem to like that at all.

-"I hope the holidays start quickly,"- Malfoy muttered so only his cronies could hear. -"So Potter goes off to his family full of freaks."-

What he didn't know was that Harry had heard everything he said.

Harry stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Malfoy with dangerous seriousness.

-"What did you call my family, Malfoy?"-

Malfoy smiled at his question; for finding a way to provoke Harry.

-"As you heard, Potter,"- Malfoy smiled. -"Your family is full of freaks, strange people, and weirdos."-

He then laughed, joined by Crabbe and Goyle.

The group looked worriedly at Harry. He was trembling slightly and clenching his fists in anger.

-"You'll pay for this, Malfoy."-

With that, Harry left with a plan in mind, leaving a smiling Malfoy and a still-worried group behind.

-(I was planning this for next year...)- Harry thought with a snarl as he headed towards the Slytherin Common Room. –(But Malfoy asked for it.)-

Harry smiled at the memory of the plan he and his father had concocted to ruin not only Malfoy, but his entire family.

With that in mind, Harry set about sending his father a letter so he would be prepared.

...

.....

....

...

The next day, Harry was having a quiet breakfast with his friends, sitting at the Gryffindor table. No one had mentioned what had happened yesterday with Malfoy.

Since the Quidditch match, the whole group knew that family was important to Harry. They had asked him many questions about his family, being smart enough not to ask anything personal. Harry had answered their questions without any problem, although he also added information about questions they hadn't asked.

Harry easily told them that his adoptive father, Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze, currently had five wives and one girlfriend. He also emphasized the word "currently," suggesting that there would be more girls in the future.

For those belonging to Wizarding Families, polygamy was normal, although they were surprised by the large number. But for Hermione, it was a little different. Having grown up in a community where polygamy wasn't widely accepted, she found this information a little uncomfortable; but that discomfort subsided a bit when Harry explained that it was the girls' idea to share their father.

Even so, it was a little strange for her...

-"Boys..."- Harry called the group's attention. Then he smiled at them. -"Listen up and don't miss anything."-

Those words confused the group; and that confusion increased even more when Harry got up from the table and headed towards the Slytherin table. The students and some teachers quickly noticed Harry's action, as he arrived at the Slytherin table, or more specifically behind Malfoy, who noticed his presence.

-"Malfoy, I demand satisfaction."-

-"Satisfaction?"- Malfoy sneered. -"What nonsense are you talking about, Potter?"-

-"What I'm talking about is the satisfaction I demand for not showing up at our Wizarding Duel."- Harry then smiled. -"Which you started..."-

The teachers and the vast majority of wizards from Wizarding Families were surprised to hear those words. But Malfoy still didn't understand what he meant; so he mocked Harry again.

-"You're crazy, Potter,"- Malfoy smirked. -"I don't owe you anything!"-

-"Is that true, Malfoy?!"- Theodore Nott suddenly spoke up in surprise. -"You challenged him to a Wizard's Duel and didn't show up?!"-

-"Yes..."- Malfoy replied in confusion. -"So what?"-

That question caused the vast majority of Slytherins to look at him as if he were an idiot.

-"The thing is, Malfoy, you've insulted my honor by not showing up to the Duel,"- Harry explained with a smirk. -"And it's your duty to make up for me for not showing up."-

-"Reward you?"- Malfoy growled angrily. -"Why would I do such a thing?!"-

-"Because if you don't, you dishonor your name!"- Professor Snape spoke up, quickly approaching the moment the conversation began. He was sending Malfoy an angry glare. -"And since you are the heir to House Malfoy, you will also bring dishonor upon your house."-

Malfoy paled at that.

-"Well, it seems we're in serious trouble,"- said Dumbledore, appearing when he saw there was a problem among the students. He then looked seriously at Harry. -"Mr. Potter-Uzumaki, can you confirm that Mr. Malfoy did not show up for the Duel?"-

-"He confirmed it,"- said Harry. -"I'm even willing to give a memento of the moment."-

-"There's no need; I believe you,"- Dumbledore said. -"We'd better continue this in my office. Professor Snape will be your Head of House, and we also need to contact your prospective guardians."-

-"My father is already on his way,"-

Harry told him, having already planned all this.

-"I-I need to contact mine,"-

Malfoy stammered nervously, having realized he had done something stupid.

-"We'll contact you in my office,"- Dumbledore said, then turned and started walking. -"Follow me."-

The four of them headed toward the Great Hall exit. As they left, the students began to murmur among themselves about what had just happened.

-"Er..."- Hermione looked at her friends in confusion. -"Can someone explain what happened?"-

-"I'll explain,"-

Daphne said, understanding why she didn't know what had happened, due to growing up in a community without magic.

.....

.....

....

...

When they arrived at the Headmaster's Office, Dumbledore quickly Flooed Lucius Malfoy to the ground.

The Headmaster spoke for a few minutes, then poked his head out, and seconds later, Lucius Malfoy emerged from the emerald flames, looking anything but happy.

-"What kind of nonsense is this, Dumbledore?!"- Lucius glared at the Headmaster. -"Why do we have to compensate the Potter boy?!"-

-"As I explained before, Lord Malfoy, your son failed to show up for the Wizarding Duel he initiated against Lord Potter-Uzumaki,"- Dumbledore explained. -"If you do not compensate Lord Potter- Uzumaki, House Malfoy will fall into disgrace."-

Lucius's eyes widened slightly, then glared at his son.

-"We'll talk about this later,"- Lucius informed his son with a grunt, causing him to hang his head in shame. Lucius then looked at Dumbledore mockingly. -"While that's true, we can still decide whether or not to make amends."- He then smiled. -"And I will do no such thing!"-

-"Then you'll bring shame on your own house!"-

Everyone jumped in fright when Naruto suddenly appeared, saying that. Behind him was Cogman.

-"Lord Uzumaki-Namikaze!"- Dumbledore was surprised by Naruto's sudden appearance. -"How did you even manage to appear here?"-

-"What do you mean?"- Naruto looked at him in confusion. -"I just appeared."-

-"B-But the wards..."-

-"What wards?"- Naruto sighed. -"You know what, Headmaster? Let's leave this for another time."- He then smiled at Lucius. -"Back to the topic. I would recommend rewarding my son, Lord Malfoy, unless you want to bring shame on your House."-

Lucius angrily pointed a finger at him. -"That's 'Lord Malfoy' to you, you filthy commoner."-

Cogman stood in front of him and angrily swatted his hand away. -"I didn't point your inbred, racist hands at Lord Naruto!"-

Lucius gave him a strange look. -"What kind of creature are you?"-

-"Creature?"- Cogman looked offended. -"Let me tell you, sir, that I prefer to be recognized as an intelligent mechanical being."-

Lucius just blinked in confusion at that.

-"Leave it alone, Cogman; I'll take care of this,"- Naruto told Cogman, who nodded and returned to stand behind him. -"After all, Lord Malfoy knows exactly what he must do."-

-"I don't have to do anything!"- Lucius yelled at him. -"I'm not going to make it up to you!"-

-"You have to,"- Naruto told him with a smile. -"Unless you want the entire wizarding community to know that the great, noble and prestigious House of Malfoy disrespects the customs that forged your nation."-

Lucius narrowed his eyes at him. If everyone knew about this problem, House Malfoy, or more specifically he, would lose prestige and influence among the Wizarding Houses of England. He couldn't allow that.

-"Fine,"- Lucius said reluctantly. -"I'll make it up to you. What do you want?"-

It wasn't a problem for him to provide some kind of compensation. He had the influence and the resources to do that. Whatever they asked for, he could give it to them.

-"We want half of House Malfoy's assets."-

-"...…."-

But I never expected something like this...

-"What?!"- Lucius yelled angrily at a grinning Naruto. -"That's an absurd request! Even for compensation for missing a Wizard's Duel!"-

-"Unfortunately, that's what we want. And you have no choice but to give it to us," -Naruto told him, still smiling. -"Unless you want the entire wizarding community to know that House Malfoy disrespects its ways."-

Lucius was now conflicted. He could make the compensation and avoid public embarrassment, but he would lose a large sum of wealth his family has accumulated over the years.

-"But he's lucky. Even I know it's an exaggerated compensation,"- Naruto spoke, catching Lucius's attention. -"That's why I was thinking of a bet."-

Lucius looked at him curiously. -"A bet?"-

-"Yes,"- Naruto nodded with a smile. Then he signaled to Cogman, who placed a contract of some kind on Dumbledore's desk. -"A bet with a Wizarding Contract. The bet would be that the Wizard Duel will take place."- He then placed his hand on a smiling Harry's shoulder. -"If Harry wins, then you will make the compensation we asked for."- He then looked at the young Malfoy. -"But if your son wins, then we will give you half of the House of Potter's assets."-

Not only were the Malfoys surprised, but so were Dumbledore and Snape.

-"Well?"- Naruto smiled, extending his hand to Lucius. -"Do you accept the bet?"-

Lucius looked at the hand and the contract, considering the pros and cons of this bet. On one hand, he could lose half of his enormous family wealth, but on the other, he could increase his wealth even further with half of the House of Potter's assets.

He was leaning more toward the latter, confident that his son was more experienced at Dueling than any other boy his age. After reviewing the contract, he could see that there were no hidden traps; furthermore, it was linked to Gringotts, meaning that once the winner was decided, the Goblins would be notified and would begin transferring the assets.

Then Lucius smiled confidently and shook Naruto's hand. -"I accept the bet."-

-"Good!"- Naruto smiled, stopping shaking hands. Then he and Lucius signed the contract, which then disappeared. -"The Duel will take place after lunch."- Naruto then looked at Dumbledore. -"Headmaster, is there a place where the Duel can be held?"-

-"Of course! We can set up the arena in the Great Hall without any problem,"- Dumbledore commented. -"We can also ask Professor Flitwick to become the referee. He was once a Duel Champion."-

-"Fine by me,"-

Naruto said, looking at Lucius for his opinion.

-"I don't mind,"- Lucius said disinterestedly, then grabbed his son's arm. -"Now if you'll excuse me, I need to speak with my son alone."-

Then he dragged his son out of the office, possibly to scold him for his stupidity.

-"Uh, Mr. Uzumaki-Namikaze,"- Dumbledore spoke seconds later, his expression nervous. -"Are you sure you want to make that bet?"-

He was nervous about the possibility that the House of Malfoy's wealth would increase if they didn't win the bet. That would only give him more power. It wasn't that he doubted Harry's abilities, but he was still worried.

-"Relax, Headmaster,"- Naruto told him, giving him a smile filled with pure confidence, fully understanding his concerns. -"Everything will be fine,"-

Dumbledore accepted that, but he still couldn't help being nervous. Now he just had to wait until after lunch to find out how everything would turn out.

...

.....

....

...

Lunchtime had arrived faster than expected...

It seemed the entire student body had heard about the Duel between Harry and Malfoy. The students ate their lunch, excited for the upcoming Duel that would follow.

When the teachers and students finished their lunch, Dumbledore stood up from his chair and asked the students to stand up and leave the Great Hall so he could prepare for the Duel.

The students quickly filed out of the Great Hall and, from its large doors, watched as Dumbledore, with a few waves of his wand, made the large dining room tables disappear. A golden platform appeared along one wall, lit by thousands of candles floating in the air.

The students quickly surrounded the platform, excitement evident on their faces. Professor Flitwick, who was to referee the Duel, took up a position on a section of the platform.

-"May the two Duelists present themselves!"-

At the young professor's call, Harry and young Malfoy stepped onto the platform. Malfoy strutted over, smiling, while Harry approached with a calm expression.

-"Face your opponents!"- Flitwick told them. -"And bow!"-

At Professor Flitwick's command, the two young wizards bowed to each other. Harry bowed politely and elegantly, while Malfoy only inclined his head slightly. The two then turned their backs to each other and walked a few paces away, before returning to face each other.

-"Wands ready!"- Flitwick shouted, causing the two young wizards to take up a stance that involves wielding their wands like swords in modern Muggle fencing. -"On the count of three, cast your spells to disarm or incapacitate your opponent."- Lethal spells are strictly prohibited, and anyone using them will be penalized."- Flitwick looked at them seriously. -"The first to disarm or incapacitate their opponent wins."-

Harry and Malfoy listened to everything without taking their eyes off each other.

Malfoy smiled confidently, while Harry remained calm.

Then Professor Flitwick began counting.

-"One, two, and... Three!"-

-"[Flipendo]!"-

Malfoy was the first to attack, firing a spell at Harry in the form of a jet of orange light.

-"[Protego]"-

Harry calmly cast his spell, conjuring an invisible shield that reflected Malfoy's spell.

-"[Rictusempra]!"-

-"[Protego]"-

Malfoy cast the familiar Tickling Charm, sending a silver spell at Harry, who quickly reflected it with an invisible shield.

Malfoy growled and attacked again. -"[Incarcerous]!"-

Thin ropes suddenly shot out from his wand, hurtling towards Harry.

-"[Evanesco]"-

To the surprise of Professor McGonagall and many of the older students, Harry was able to vanish the ropes without any problems before they reached him.

-"What's wrong, Potter?"- Malfoy looked at him mockingly, but he was a little angry at his failed attacks. -"Don't you know anything except how to defend yourself?"-

-"A great defense ensures a better victory,"- Harry said calmly. -"But if you want me to attack so badly, then I will."- He then raised his wand, pointing it at Malfoy. -"[Flipendo]"-

Before Malfoy could react, he was hit by an orange spell to his chest, creating a small explosion and leaving him slightly disoriented on the ground.

Harry smirked. -"Enough for you, Malfoy?"-

His friends and many students cheered at Harry's successful attack. There were only a few groans and jeers from some older Slytherins.

Naruto smiled at it all, and that smile only grew when he saw Lucius Malfoy gnash his teeth in anger.

The young Malfoy staggered to his feet, not at all pleased.

-"You'll get me this, Potter!"- he shouted, then raised his wand in his direction. -"[Expe-]!"-

-"[Silencius]"- Harry quickly invoked, casting a spell that silenced Malfoy in the middle of his spell. He then smiled. "And that's not all. [Expelliarmus], [Petrificus Totalus], [Desmaius]"-

In an instant, Harry launched a chain of spells that surprised many, and especially the professors. Malfoy, still stunned by the previous attack, had no chance to dodge what was coming. The first spell disarmed him, and the second slammed his arms and legs together, making him stiff as a board. Just as he was about to fall, the third spell struck him in the chest, knocking him unconscious on the floor.

Professor Flitwick quickly declared the result. -"The winner of the duel is Harry Potter Uzumaki!"-

The students were largely amazed. Although they were disappointed by the short duel, they were equally surprised by Harry's skill, as he had just entered his first year at Hogwarts. But they put that aside to begin applauding Harry for his victory.

Harry smiled, then began to step down from the dais. Malfoy was being levitated by Professor Snape, carrying him out of the Great Hall, possibly to the Hospital Wing.

Meanwhile, Lucius Malfoy was growling and clenching his hands in anger at his son's defeat. In just a matter of seconds, he had lost half of his vast fortune, which his family had accumulated over the years. By now, the Goblins must have received the results of the Duel and begun transferring the assets.

Lucius knew he now had to curtail his luxurious lifestyle, as well as curtail the generous "donations" he made to the Ministry and other officials.

-"Well, Mr. Malfoy,"- Naruto spoke with a smile, approaching him. -"It was a pleasure doing business with you."-

Lucius just grunted at him and quickly left the Great Hall to see his son, sworn in his mind to take revenge on the Uzumaki family.

Naruto just mocked his attitude. -"How stuck-up."-

Then he walked over to his son, who was receiving congratulations and praise from his friends.

...

.....

....

...

Christmas was approaching. In just a couple of days, the students would be leaving for their respective homes to spend Christmas with their families, and everyone was already impatient for the holidays to begin.

Harry was walking through the corridors toward the Great Hall with his friends. Along the way, they were talking about what they were going to do for Christmas.

Harry learned that all his friends would be leaving Hogwarts to spend the holidays with their respective families. There were only a few students who stayed at Hogwarts during Christmas; mostly orphaned students who had lost their parents.

Although there were also students who stayed because their respective families had other plans for Christmas, like the Weasleys. Harry learned from the Twins that they would be staying, as their family was going on a trip to visit one of their eldest sons.

On their way, they came across a large fir tree occupying the end of the corridor. Two enormous feet appeared from under the tree, and a great snort told them that Hagrid was standing behind it.

-"Hello, Hagrid,"- Harry greeted, sticking his head in the branches. -"Need any help?"-

-"No, it's all right. Thanks, Harry,"- Hagrid thanked him, then easily grabbed and lifted the tree onto his shoulder. Then he looked at the group. -"Come on, you should see how the Great Hall is."-

The group nodded. They then followed Hagrid and his tree into the Great Hall, where Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick were busy decorating.

The hall was spectacular. Garlands of mistletoe and holly hung on the walls, and no fewer than twelve Christmas trees were scattered about; some twinkling with tiny icicles, others with hundreds of candles.

Hagrid looked at the group. -"How many days until the holidays?"-

-"Only two,"- Harry replied, then looked at Hagrid, wanting to ask him something. -"By the way, Hagrid, how much do you know about Hogwarts?"-

-"As Keeper of Keys at Hogwarts, I know a few things,"- Hagrid replied, then looked at Harry curiously. -"Why do you ask?"-

-"It's because I have a question,"- Harry replied. -"What do you know about a Cerberus on the third floor?"-

Harry's question stopped Hagrid in his tracks, and he seemed almost to drop the tree. The others in the group, hearing the question, were also interested in Hagrid's answer. Including Blaise, who had learned about the Cerberus on the third floor from the others.

Hagrid looked at Harry in shock. -"How do you know about Fluffy?"-

Harry blinked. -"Fluffy?"-

Hermione raised an eyebrow. -"Does that Cerberus have a name?"-

-"Of course he has a name,"- said Hagrid. -"The Cerberus is mine."-

Blaise looked at him blankly. -"And of all the names you could have given a Cerberus, you chose Fluffy?"-

-"Er... I thought it suited him..."- Hagrid flushed with embarrassment. -"I bought him off a Greek I met in the pub last year... And I lent him to Dumbledore for safekeeping..."-

Hannah leaned forward curiously. -"Yes?"-

-"Well, don't ask me any more,"- Hagrid said rudely. -"It's a secret."-

-"Come on, Hagrid,"- pleaded Susan, who was very interested in what was on the third floor. -"We won't tell anyone."-

-"Yes, that's true,"- said Tracey. -"Is the Cerberus holding something back?"-

Daphne also joined in curiously. -"Treasure, perhaps?"-

-"Now, listen to me, you're meddling in matters that don't concern you, and that's dangerous,"- Hagrid warned sternly. -"Forget that dog and forget what he's guarding. The only people in this are Professor Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel..."-

-"Oh!"- Hermione grinned. -"So there's someone called Nicholas Flamel mixed up in this, then?"-

-"I shouldn't have said that..."- said Hagrid, who seemed to be getting furious with himself. Then he started walking away from the group with the fir tree. -"I shouldn't have said any of that!"-

When Hagrid had left, Tracey looked at the others in confusion. -"Who is Nicholas Flamel?"-

-"Nicholas Flamel is a famous alchemist,"- Harry replied, familiar with the subject from his independent study of history. -"He's well known for creating the Philosopher's Stone; a stone used to create an elixir that extends life and transforms any metal into pure gold."-

-"Oh, that's right,"- Daphne said after recognizing the famous alchemist's name. -"And if I'm not mistaken, Headmaster Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel are friends,"-

Hermione gasped. -"So that's it!"-

Susan looked at her in confusion. -"What do you mean?"-

-"Cerberus is protecting the Philosopher's Stone,"- Hermione said. -"Just think about it. Flamel must have given the stone to the Headmaster for safekeeping."-

-"And there's no place safer than Hogwarts..."- Hannah said after considering what Hermione said. -"Actually, it makes a little sense,"-

Neville was surprised. -"So there's an item at Hogwarts that can provide eternal life and wealth?"-

-"It seems so,"- Harry said. -"Being protected by a Cerberus and who knows what else?"-

The group then began to talk about what was on the third floor. Harry was also planning to sneak out and see what was on the third floor before the holidays.

...

.....

....

...

In the middle of the night, Harry walked through the dark and quiet corridors of the Castle after having accomplished his objective. He had already inspected everything on the third floor. Harry became confused and intrigued by the obstacles he discovered.

First, there was the familiar Cerberus, which Harry easily passed by putting it to sleep with [Sleep Magic]. After going down the trapdoor, he encountered the second obstacle, which was a Devil's Snare, which Harry passed after relaxing without any problems. Below that was the third obstacle: a chamber filled with enchanted winged keys and a large wooden door leading to the other chamber.

Harry discovered that one of the keys was needed to open the door, but he ignored all that and simply teleported to the other side of the door.

The fourth obstacle contained a giant enchanted wizard chessboard, where the pieces seemed to attack anyone who tried to pass through. Harry simply removed the enchantments from the pieces and quietly advanced to the next chamber.

The fifth obstacle was a Mountain Troll that had to be defeated to proceed to the next chamber. Harry only turned invisible thanks to the Robe of Invisibility and slipped away without the troll noticing.

When he entered the next chamber, the door he had entered was blocked by a purple flame. To enter the next chamber, which was blocked by a black flame, a logical riddle involving seven potions had to be solved. Harry completely ignored the riddle and easily froze the black flame, then created an opening to enter the next chamber.

The strangest thing was that the next chamber, which seemed to be the last, contained no obstacles or tests. Harry concluded that they weren't finished with the obstacles.

With his investigation done, Harry left the way he came, eliminating all traces of magic and returning the obstacles he had altered to normal.

Then, suddenly, a warm sensation stopped Harry from walking toward the Slytherin Common Room. That sensation was the emission of magic that seemed to be coming from a disused classroom.

Something Harry discovered long ago was that he could sense the emission or release of magic, either from someone casting a spell or from a Magical Artefact in the vicinity. At first, it was annoying for Harry, but now he was able to use it to his advantage.

Without further ado, Harry entered the classroom, curious to know what or who was emitting the magic. He was more inclined to believe it was an object or artifact, though, as he didn't sense any presence.

Once inside, he could see the shadows of chairs and desks piled up against the walls, an upside-down wastebasket leaning against the opposite wall... Although there was something that didn't seem to belong there, as if it had been left out of the way.

It was a magnificent mirror, ceiling-high, with an elaborate gilt frame, resting on claw-like supports. An inscription was engraved across the top: Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi.

-"I show not your face but your heart's desire"- Harry read the sentence, but upside down. Reading it, he could recognize the artifact in front of him. -"This is the Mirror of Erised."-

Harry knew about this mirror; after all, one of his senseis, Rowena Ravenclaw, had created it.

During his magical training, Rowena told him about the various spells and artifacts she had created throughout her life; one of them was the Mirror of Erised.

The mirror reveals the greatest desire of the person looking into its surface. According to Rowena, the mirror reveals neither truth nor knowledge, and some have lost their minds from standing in front of it. That's why she considered it a failure.

Even though he knew the danger of the artifact, Harry looked at himself in the mirror with curiosity. He wasn't worried, as he trusted his resilient and trained mind.

There he was, reflected, white and calm, and there, reflected behind him, was a group of people. Harry recognized some of them as his current family: the Uzumakis. They were there, looking at him with a smile.

But on the other hand, there were two other people who weren't part of the Uzumaki family. One was a woman, right behind her reflection, smiling at him and waving her hand. She was a very pretty woman. She had dark red hair and her eyes...

-(Her eyes are just like mine)-

Harry thought, leaning a little closer to the mirror. Bright green eyes, exactly the same shape, but then he noticed she was crying; smiling and crying at the same time. The tall, thin, black-haired man next to her put his arm around her shoulders. He wore glasses and his hair was very messy, and it stood up at the back of his neck, just like Harry's.

-"Mum... Dad..."- he whispered with a sad smile. -"So this is my greatest wish."-

That was his wish. The wish to be able to live and be with his entire family, both the Uzumakis and the Potters; all together.

Harry slowly placed his hand on the mirror. -"If only it were possible..."-

With that last word, Harry removed his hand from the mirror and then left the room, without looking at it again. Once in the hallway, he turned invisible and began walking toward the entrance of the Slytherin Common Room.

Tomorrow he would be home for the Christmas holidays, and today he would sleep remembering that beautiful image of his great wish.
