It was only nine o'clock, so there was naturally no way Utaha was going to sleep yet.
After saying a few words to Ichin, she grabbed her phone and tablet and headed back to the bedroom to watch dramas.
As for Ichin, he first went downstairs to check on the cats, fed them some small late night treats, and only then walked to Yukino's bedroom door.
After knocking lightly twice, he opened the door and walked in.
Inside the room, Yukino was currently focused on writing a paper at her desk. Even after hearing Ichin enter, she did not turn around, only lowering her head as she said:
"Wait a moment, let me finish this paper first."
Ichin said nothing. He simply sat down on the bed, grabbed one of Yukino's stuffed dolls, and played with it quietly.
Five minutes later, Yukino finished typing, checked over her work one last time, and finally let out a relieved sigh before shutting her laptop.
Looking toward Ichin sitting on the bed, she asked:
"Finished the movie?"
"Not really. Haruno-nee fell asleep halfway through the second half, so we stopped watching."
"What about Sis?"
"I carried her back to her room so she could rest."
Yukino nodded and stood from her chair before walking over to him.
"Looks like work really exhausted her today."
Leaning against Ichin as she sat beside him, Yukino rested in his arms and wrapped both hands around his waist.
"What about Utaha?"
"She's watching dramas in her room. Since you were still studying, I came to check on you."
As he spoke, Ichin wrapped an arm around Yukino and laid back onto the bed with her. The faint scent of shampoo drifting from her hair made him unconsciously lean closer and breathe it in a few more times.
Feeling his breath against her, Yukino shrank her neck slightly from the ticklish sensation.
"Stop sniffing around..."
She lightly bumped the top of her head against his chin before asking:
"Aren't we going over there?"
"It's fine. It's still early."
Ichin held Yukino in his arms and let her lie on top of him as he smiled.
"If you're tired though, we could just go to sleep early."
"I'm not really tired... just a little hungry. I want something to eat."
"Sure. What do you want?"
Yukino pursed her lips and thought for a moment before answering:
"Maybe cook some noodles? Just a little. I don't want to eat too much. I weighed myself these past few days, and the weight I gained during New Year still hasn't gone down at all. I can't keep getting fatter."
"Fatter? You're not fat at all."
As he spoke, Ichin gently pinched Yukino's waist. It was still slender without the slightest trace of excess fat.
"You were honestly too skinny before. Right now is perfect. Being overly bony isn't attractive. And when you're at campus, make sure to eat more for lunch, got it? Don't even think about dieting. If you think the university cafeteria food isn't good, then we'll just make lunch ourselves and bring bentos."
Yukino's figure was already much healthier than before. Back then she had truly been too thin. Now, aside from her chest having grown to a B cup, she also no longer looked so fragile and bony.
Just like he said, her current figure was perfect.
Listening to him, Yukino smiled softly.
"You're one to talk. Don't forget you ate at Tokyo University's cafeteria for years too, and now you're saying it's not good?"
Ichin answered calmly:
"The cafeteria food is honestly pretty decent. But compared to our own cooking, it's still lacking. Is there a problem with that?"
"Fine~~~"
Yukino smiled as she sat up and lightly patted his chest.
"Hurry up already. I want something to eat."
"Okay. I'll make some noodles for you."
Ichin's words made Yukino's cheeks turn slightly red.
"Don't think I don't know that what you just said has two meanings."
Ichin smiled, leaned over to kiss her once, then held her hand and walked out of the room together with her.
Before going downstairs, Ichin also stopped by Utaha's room to ask if she wanted a midnight snack.
And as expected, Utaha had long since become a complete foodie under Ichin's care. The moment she heard there was food, she immediately climbed out of bed.
Following him downstairs into the kitchen, Utaha linked arms with Yukino and asked:
"If we're having noodles, what toppings are you making, Ichin?"
Ichin opened the refrigerator and answered:
"It's pretty late, so nothing too heavy. Tomato scrambled eggs and shredded pork with wild rice stem. How does that sound?"
Utaha and Yukino both nodded at the same time, completely satisfied with the idea.
Ichin told the two girls to wait outside while he prepared everything himself. Both toppings were simple dishes anyway, so there was no need for their help.
Very soon, a faint delicious aroma drifted out from the kitchen, and Ichin poked his head out.
"Almost done. Come help carry the dishes."
But just as the two girls entered the kitchen and carried out the plates, they suddenly saw Haruno walking downstairs while rubbing her sleepy eyes.
The moment she lowered her hand and saw the bowls in Utaha and Yukino's hands, along with the tempting smell slowly drifting into her nose, she instantly woke up.
"Ah! You guys are secretly eating delicious food behind my back! I want some too!"
And just like that, the midnight snack group increased from three people to four.
After sitting down, Ichin looked at Haruno scooping toppings into her bowl and smiled.
"Haruno-nee, why did you wake up?"
"I wanted to use the bathroom, so I woke up."
Haruno mixed the noodles together, took a bite, and immediately narrowed her eyes in satisfaction before continuing:
"Then after coming out, I saw the lights downstairs were still on, so I came down to check. Hehe, good thing I woke up, otherwise I would've missed out!"
Even though it was only simple noodles with two toppings, it was still incredibly delicious.
The four of them each finished a bowl of noodles, along with both plates of toppings, in no time at all.
"Ahh~~ I'm so full. Absolute satisfaction~~"
After finishing, Haruno slumped onto the sofa without caring about appearances, tilting her head back while happily rubbing her stomach.
Yukino, who had just finished cleaning the table, walked over and sat down beside her.
"Sister, pay a little attention to yourself. You're still wearing a nightgown, don't sit around so casually."
"Hehe, got it~~"
Haruno laughed and responded casually before lifting her right leg from beneath her nightdress.
"Yukino, look carefully. I haven't gained weight, right?"
"Nope."
Looking at her sister's long legs, Yukino also stretched out her own legs for comparison. The difference between the two sisters was actually not that big. Hers were just slightly slimmer than Haruno's.
And after observing carefully, Yukino realized that Haruno's legs really did look a little more attractive. She herself truly had been too skinny before.
At that moment, Utaha walked out of the bathroom. Seeing the two sisters comparing legs, she laughed.
"What's this? Comparing leg lengths? Count me in too."
As she spoke, she walked over and sat tightly beside them, proudly showing off her own long legs as well.
After the three compared for a while, Haruno suddenly said:
"Where's Ichin? For something like this, it's better to let a man be the judge!"
"He went to take a shower. He made all the noodles himself just now, so he got a little sweaty." Utaha glanced at Haruno's legs, which were not much inferior to her own at all, before confidently saying, "But there's no point asking Ichin to judge. He'll definitely side with Yukino and me."
Haruno confidently swung her leg lightly.
"That might not necessarily be true."
