"Morgan, Morgan, Morgan!"
Morgan woke up with a jolt, startled, his heart pounding wildly as if he had just escaped a nightmare. His body jumped slightly on the sofa and his breath came out in short gasps. It had been Sataná who woke him, leaning over him with a mix of amusement and urgency.
"Is… is it already day?"
( Asked Morgan, still half-asleep, his eyes squinting and his hair completely disheveled. )
"Yes, Morgan, it's already dawn! hahaha."
( Said Sataná, hopping slightly and letting out a mischievous giggle that echoed through the room. )
Morgan rubbed his face with both hands, as if trying to wipe the sleep away. Then he stretched slowly, arching his back and letting out a long, loud yawn.
"hahaha, looks like someone managed to sleep like a log."
( Commented Sataná, crossing her arms as she watched him with a teasing smile. )
"Yeah… and honestly, I haven't slept like that in a very long time."
( Replied Morgan in a sleepy voice, still sitting on the sofa. )
"I'm glad you finally got real rest."
Morgan stood up slowly, stretching once more until his bones cracked softly. He looked toward the bed — and suddenly his expression changed.
Galahad wasn't there.
Morgan's face went pale instantly.
"G-Galahad…?"
His heart began to race, but before he could panic, Galahad timidly peeked through the doorway, showing only half of his body.
"Are… are we leaving now?"
Morgan let out a huge sigh of relief, placing a hand over his chest.
"What a scare… I thought you'd gotten lost!"
Galahad tilted his head to the side, completely confused.
"hahahaha."
( Sataná laughed softly, covering her mouth with her hand. )
"So… are you ready?"
( Asked Sataná with a bright smile. )
Morgan took a deep breath, closed his eyes for a second, then opened them with determination.
"Yes… I'm ready."
( Smiled Morgan confidently. )
"Perfect… although… actually… we're already late, hehe."
( Said Sataná, scratching her head awkwardly with a nervous giggle. )
"Huh?"
Morgan's face drained of all color.
"AHHHHHHHHH?!"
Morgan let out a desperate scream, grabbed Sataná's hand, then took Galahad with the other. Without thinking twice, he dashed off at full speed.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP?!"
( Morgan shouted, completely frustrated. )
He shot through the academy hallways like a bolt of lightning, practically dragging Sataná and Galahad behind him, who seemed more like they were floating than running. Along the way, several students tried to greet him or talk to him, but Morgan rushed past like a whirlwind without even looking at them.
Finally, he reached the grand main entrance of the academy — the same place where he had previously been confronted by Kalista and her teacher.
A huge crowd was gathered there, murmuring and watching something on the stairs. Morgan pushed his way through everyone, dodging people as he advanced desperately.
Some students looked at him with admiration and surprise, others with annoyance or indifference, but Morgan didn't care about any of that. His only mission was to get to his classroom.
"What am I going to do… it's my first day and I'm already going to be late…?"
( Said Morgan nervously and embarrassed, almost on the verge of tears. )
When he finally broke free from the crowd, he saw four figures blocking the main staircase, lined up horizontally and completely silent.
Three men and one woman.
All standing perfectly still… as if waiting for something important.
Morgan stepped forward and began turning his head frantically from side to side, desperately searching for which staircase he should take.
The four beings slowly started approaching him. Some smiled, others looked at him seriously. The one in the center — the same one who had previously pulled Kalista out of the combat arena — spoke with a kind smile.
"Welcome, my friend… we would like to talk with y—"
But Morgan interrupted him immediately, speaking at full speed.
"Hi, hi! Do you know where Miss Luzbel's classroom is?"
Doran, surprised, answered almost on reflex:
"Ahhh… well, yes… if you go up those stairs and walk to the end of the hallway, you'll find Miss Luzbe—"
Interrupted again.
"Seriously, thank you so much, see you later!"
( Said Morgan without slowing down for even a second. )
He ran past the four beings and continued like a lightning bolt.
One of them frowned in irritation.
"That insolent little brat… he made us wait and now he ignores us… who does he think he is?"
( Said one of them in a harsh tone. )
"I agree, this lack of respect is unacceptable… his behavior is intolerable."
( Added another, crossing his arms. )
"hahahaha… how funny."
( Said another one of them, laughing in amusement. )
"hahaha… yes, you're right."
( Replied Doran, laughing. )
"He's… he's very interesting… hahaha."
( Said Doran with an intrigued smile. )
Meanwhile, Morgan raced up the stairs and reached the indicated hallway. He passed in front of several classrooms, and in each one the students stared at him curiously.
"I think your popularity is rising, Morgan."
( Said Sataná teasingly. )
"Huh?"
( Replied Morgan, completely confused and out of breath. )
"Nothing, nothing… hahaha."
( Sataná laughed playfully. )
Finally, they reached the end of the hallway. Morgan stopped, resting his hands on his knees and breathing heavily.
"Ah… ah… ah…"
( Said Morgan, completely out of breath. )
"Did… did we make it?"
( He asked in a trembling, exhausted voice. )
Sataná and Galahad had messy hair and disheveled clothes from the run. Sataná adjusted her skirt and smiled cheerfully.
"Yes… we made it."
