Morgan noticed how hard it was for Luzbel to speak—how the words got stuck in her throat, as if they weighed far too much. Without saying anything, he moved a little closer and, carefully, as if afraid of breaking her, took one of her hands. Then he smiled at her—a soft, warm smile, the kind that asks for nothing… only stays.
Luzbel barely turned her head to look at him. First, their intertwined hands… then his face. That small smile gave her something—just enough courage.
She took a breath, let out a faint sigh… and continued.
"I… I had an older sister… her name was Samael… she…"
(she hesitated)
"She was… the most perfect of our kind. Strong, intelligent, kind… there was nothing she couldn't do."
She lowered her gaze for a moment, as if remembering hurt more than she could bear.
"She was simply… magnificent. They say that when she was born, the sky lit up completely. It was night… and even so, everything shone as if the sun had risen."
Her voice grew softer.
"No one could believe it… they said it was a miracle… that we had been given the perfect being. But what shocked them the most was seeing her… when she was born… she had two dharmas in her eyes and one on her forehead… three burning stars… and instead of two wings… she had six…"
Her fingers tightened slightly around Morgan's.
"For my people… it was a revelation. They believed she would lead us into a new era… one where we would become the dominant species. And… as she grew… she proved them right. She was everything they hoped for… and more. There was nothing she couldn't achieve… even the impossible… she made it possible."
She paused, struggling to breathe.
"She loved everyone… and everyone loved her. There wasn't a single person who didn't… our kingdom, the Silver City… prospered for thousands of years… everything was… perfect…"
Her voice cracked slightly.
"Until that day."
(Luzbel paused for a moment)
"There was something that defined my sister… beyond her strength… her curiosity. She began to watch humans from above… in silence… until one day, she decided to get closer."
(She lifted her gaze, lost)
"At night, she would descend to the earth and observe them… she was fascinated by them… their simplicity… and their complexity… After the war… humans had almost disappeared… the few who remained didn't even know how to make fire…"
(She shut her eyes tightly)
"And then… she crossed that line. She stopped watching… and started helping them. She taught them… guided them… for centuries… cared for them until they rose again."
A tear rolled down her cheek.
"And they began to worship her… like a goddess… one who had descended from the heavens to protect them. She spent more and more time with them… neglecting the Silver City… but… she was happy. She laughed with them… ate, danced, sang… she truly loved them."
Her fingers trembled.
"But someone… was not pleased."
(Her voice hardened slightly)
"Abel. She was born after Samael… and lived for her. Always by her side… she adored her more than anyone… but when she learned of her love for humans… she lost her mind."
(She clenched her teeth)
"She couldn't accept that she would share her love with… those 'insects.' She felt betrayed… deceived… and then she thought something terrible…"
(Her voice dropped to a whisper)
"That humans had corrupted her… that they had stained her perfection."
(She swallowed)
"She convinced everyone… everyone… that they had to be erased."
The silence grew heavy.
"One night… while my sister slept… they descended."
Her lips trembled.
"They destroyed everything."
She took a deep breath, but the air didn't seem enough.
"The settlement… everything they had built for years… vanished in a single night… fire… screams… blood…"
(She closed her eyes)
"The next day… she came down… as always…"
(Luzbel trembled)
"And she saw it."
Her voice broke.
"Bodies… burned… torn apart…"
Her fingers clung desperately to Morgan's.
"She held them in her hands… and cried…"
Tears fell one after another.
"I had never… seen her cry… but that day… she cried so much… the earth itself trembled."
(Her breathing became uneven)
"She spread her wings… and unleashed hurricanes… the whole world… seemed to answer her pain…"
(She opened her eyes, empty)
"She rose to the Silver City… seeking answers… and they did not hide them."
(Her voice trembled)
"Abel told her they did it for her… to protect her purity…"
(A broken laugh escaped)
"But it wasn't enough."
Her eyes filled with fear.
"They said… that if they truly wanted to protect her… they had to kill her."
Silence.
"So she would never be stained again."
Her voice was barely a thread.
"My sister… who had only ever loved… who had only ever given… exploded in rage."
(She tightened her grip on Morgan's hand)
"She faced the entire Silver City… alone."
Her breathing grew heavy.
"But she was too strong… Abel had to call the other kingdoms… the other crowns… and they fought…"
(She lowered her gaze)
"Nine days… and nine nights…"
Her voice broke.
"Many died…"
(She paused again, stammering)
"And in the end… my sister fell."
The silence stretched, dense.
"Before she died… she looked at all of us…"
Her lips trembled.
"And she asked… why."
Luzbel didn't lift her gaze anymore.
She only tightened her grip on Morgan's hand.
"And every time I look at your face…"
Luzbel looked at Morgan, her eyes filled with tears, her expression full of pain.
"I see her."
