"Good morning, Young Master Riley. How may I help you today?"
The greeting came from a beautiful maidservant standing at the entrance of Elder Althea's courtyard.
Riley and Cassie had just arrived, and it was immediately obvious that Elder Althea's residence was different from the ordinary courtyards scattered throughout the clan.
As one of the Totem Clan's most respected elders, Elder Althea naturally had no shortage of attendants and followers.
Several maidservants could be seen moving quietly around the courtyard, while a few disciples stood guard nearby.
Riley smiled politely.
"I have some business with Elder Althea. Please inform her that I've come to see her."
The maidservant hesitated.
She was named Maya, and unlike most of the other servants, she had served Elder Althea for an exceptionally long time.
She understood her master's peculiar condition better than almost anyone else.
Unfortunately, today was not a good day.
