A loud cheer erupted from their entire class the moment Jeff and Klea arrived together at the classroom, holding hands. Most of all, Klea was wearing one of Jeff's oversized white jackets over her yesterday's white blouse and skirt outfit—which confirmed the rumor they had just heard.
The rumor that Klea had spent the night at Jeff's apartment had already spread, courtesy of Kris and Marc after hearing it from their girlfriends, who picked up Veena at Jeff's place earlier in the morning.
It made the entire class even more excited—not only because of the ongoing bet involving Jeff, Klea, and Liam, but also because of the brewing drama that would explode once Klea admitted the truth, Liam returned and learned everything he had foolishly missed, and Jeff confronted him, which might result in another betting game—one they hoped would turn into a brawl.
To put it simply, they were all craving a different kind of entertainment rather than truly supporting their friends.
