...The Roach let out a deafening screech, and although Kaelen wanted to open his eyes to investigate what was going on, the light was far too intense for him to do so, lest he lose his vision.


Fragments of the Roach's exoskeleton struck Kaelen's being, inducing so much pain that he wondered if he was actually being shot at.


The intense light faded and those strange sounds that were reminiscent to bones being crushed, beckoned Kaelen to open his eyes, albeit reluctantly.


Kaelen stood there frozen, his aching eyes trembling in disbelief at the grotesque, disfigured form of the Roach.
