{Chapter: 379 Warship Attack}
On the beach, golden hues of sunset painted the sand while the sound of waves mingled with laughter. William sat at the center of a lively circle, surrounded by his five radiant companions. They were enjoying the simplicity of food, warmth, and wine.
"Come on! Let's raise our glasses to another beautiful night," William said, lifting his goblet high with a teasing smirk.
"You're not trying to get us drunk again, are you?" Alice teased, narrowing her eyes playfully. "You know that never ends well."
"Now, now," William replied innocently, flashing a grin that everyone knew better than to trust. "Am I that kind of man? Besides, do I need alcohol to make you fall for me? Just drink. No excuses tonight!"
The women exchanged amused glances, rolling their eyes before raising their glasses.
"Fine. Cheers!"
After the hearty meal and lighthearted banter, William stretched his arms and yawned theatrically. "Well, I'd say it's time to sleep."
Jane immediately sat up straighter, her eyes narrowing. "No funny business, William. I'm warning you."
"What are you talking about?" he replied, feigning offense. "The real issue is... there's only one big bed."
"There were two this morning," Jane shot back, suspicious.
William gave her an exaggerated shrug. "Must've vanished. Beds are unpredictable like that."
"You liar!" Jane nearly growled. "You clearly did this on purpose."
Pepper chuckled and shrugged. "Jane, don't waste your energy. Resistance is futile. This is our reality now."
William waved his hand, summoning a glowing blue light. In a flash, a luxurious super-sized bed appeared in the open air, big enough to fit everyone comfortably.
"See? Sharing builds character," he said, winking.
Before the debate could escalate, White Queen's gaze flicked skyward. She abruptly sat upright.
"You might want to save that argument for another night. I don't think any of us are sleeping."
"What is it?" Pepper asked.
The others followed her gaze but saw only the starlit sky.
"It's cloaked. But I can feel it," Alice said softly, her telekinesis detecting the subtle tremors in the air. "Something massive... just entered our airspace."
"A ship?" Ada asked.
William's jaw tightened. "Yeah. And not just any ship. It's them. The dark elves."
Jane's expression turned pale. "They found us."
"Of course they did. They always do," William said with a sigh. "And they always pick the worst timing. I was just getting cozy."
Alice's eyes suddenly glowed with blue energy. "They're locking onto this location. Everyone move—now!"
Without hesitation, Alice grabbed Jane and Pepper, disappearing in a blink of light. William took hold of Ada and Sif, vanishing into the air. White Queen vanished last, her trademark smirk fading into thin air.
BOOM.
The sea exploded upwards in a torrent of water, the cloaked warship slicing through the ocean like a blade. It moved with unnatural speed, cutting into the island's shore like a falling star.
A tremor rippled through the ground. Sand erupted skyward. Palm trees were uprooted like blades of grass. The entire beach split as if some invisible giant had dragged a sword across it.
RUMBLE...
The cracks widened, swallowing up the forest edge. Water surged in behind it. From the core of the island, rock and sand fractured violently.
High above the center of the island, the calm air trembled, shimmering unnaturally before rupturing with a sharp pulse of light. A colossal black warship emerged like a predator from the void, its cloaking system peeling away in shattered fragments of energy. Jagged black metal, scorched and twisted with dark elven runes, gleamed ominously as the massive ship fully revealed itself, casting a terrifying shadow over the entire island.
From its undercarriage, long mechanical arms descended like skeletal fingers. A massive pointed drill spiraled downward, crashing into the rock and earth with thunderous force. The very island shook under the impact. Cracks webbed out across the soil, splitting trees and sending flocks of birds screaming into the air.
"It appeared," Alice muttered, her voice calm but alert. She hovered beside William, Ada, and the White Queen—each of them suspended in the air, watching the monstrous warship descend.
William clicked his tongue and narrowed his eyes. "This is seriously ruining my mood. I just cleaned this place up, and now they've come to carve up my property."
Ada chuckled beside him, her eyes focused on the warship. "Do you really like this island so much?"
"I was planning to take it with me," William replied with a smirk.
"Take it? You mean to your villain space?"
William nodded, arms crossed. "Exactly. The geography and ecosystem of the villain space will continue to change as the space expands, so it is difficult to have a fixed living place. But this island is an isolated alien object. It doesn't belong to that realm and won't be affected."
"I have to admit," Ada said with a warm smile, brushing her shoulder against his, "that's clever. Just try not to destroy it while you're showing off."
William grinned. "You know me—I only destroy people, not places I like."
Below them, Pepper stood on the cracked beach with Jane and Sif, staring up in awe at the black warship.
"That thing is huge," Pepper breathed.
"It's them—the Dark Elves," Jane said darkly. "I remember that ship from Asgard."
Sif stepped forward, eyes narrowing. "They shouldn't have survived the last war. If they've come here, it's for revenge."
Jane glanced up at William, who hovered above like a living god. "They're no match for him. Honestly, I'm kind of jealous. Look at him. Just flying like it's nothing... I want to fly like that someday."
Pepper chuckled beside her. "Yeah. Same here. But unfortunately, the Extremis in my body doesn't come with wings."
"Extremis?" Jane blinked. "What's that?"
"It's a biogenic enhancement virus. Grants regeneration, enhanced strength, speed, and the ability to generate extreme heat. Problem is, if your body rejects it... boom."
Jane looked horrified. "You went through that?"
"Not by choice. But the White Queen stabilized it. I'm fine now."
"That girl? You're saying she's that smart?"
"Smartest person on Earth," Pepper confirmed with a laugh. "Even if she acts like a prankster."
Jane raised a brow. "Seriously?"
"She can out-compute every supercomputer on the planet. Real-time simulations of nuclear events, global climate change, gravitational anomalies—you name it. She could probably calculate how many ants are on this island in under ten seconds."
"That's... freakishly impressive," Jane admitted.
"Yeah," Pepper agreed. "A beautiful, cheeky little freak. She is just a little pervert. And William is the only one who can handle her."
Jane shook her head in disbelief. "Are you sure she's even human?"
"Human enough to blush when William teases her," Pepper said with a knowing grin.
A sudden hiss echoed from the warship. The massive hatch yawned open like the maw of a dragon. From the shadows stepped two figures—tattered, bloodied, but burning with fury.
Malekith's pale, scarred face twisted into rage. His eyes locked onto the group above.
"William!" he roared. "You think you've won, but today, I will tear you apart piece by piece!"
William vanished in a blink, reappearing midair before Malekith and Algrim, his clothes flapping gently in the salty breeze. His voice was calm, even amused.
"Malekith, long time no see. You look... worse than I remembered. You should really moisturize."
Algrim snarled, muscles bulging, molten red light leaking through the cracks in his armor.
"You destroyed everything! Our armies, our legacy, our chance to rule the Nine Realms!"
"Cry more," William said flatly, then looked back at his girls in the sky. "Ladies, cover your ears. I'm about to get loud."
