Chapter 77 - Chapter 76: Dream Of Destruction

On the other side of the human realm, Kairi, Testarossa, Seilah and Nezha are walking through a long, dark forest; the air around them had this rotten smell lingering everywhere the further they went into the forest. Suddenly a grey-like liquid started coming from the forest. Nezha ran in front of the others while saying, "WE ARE TOO LATE." They all stopped as they saw a huge crack in space and the grey liquid starting pouring out of it endlessly. Nezha said, "It looks like Shiki has already removed the seal on oblivion." Everyone looked at the crack in space dumbfounded. Testarossa looked at the ground and noticed that the liquid leaking from oblivion is altering the environment. She crouched, and then her eyes widened as the ground started rotting in front of her. Testarossa said, "We must stop this; if we allow this to continue, it will make the whole human realm uninhabitable." Nezha crossed his arm and started thinking of all the possibilities to stop the rotting. Meanwhile Seilah flew in front of the crack space and used her hex magic to slow down the rot. While doing this, she said, "I don't know how long I can slow it down for; hurry up and think of something." Nezha covered his hand in darkness, then crouched down and punched the ground, sending his darkness through the forest. A giant purple barrier surrounded the forest. He said, "We must contain it here. Testarossa, go to the entrance of the forest and create a firewall to slow down the spreading. Kairi, you must master Belphegor's sin; his anti-power might be our only chance of stopping this thing. I will do what I can to maintain the barrier, but you must have complete control over the Sin of Sloth." Nezha flew up into the air to maintain the barrier. Kairi took a deep breath as her body started to be covered in a green aura; she closed her eyes and felt her consciousness drifting into Belphegor's sin. Kairi opened her eyes and saw nothing but a dark empty space. She started walking in a straight line; in the far distance, she saw a large green door. Kairi walked up to the door and opened it and saw a tombstone with a large casket next to it. She walked over to the casket; Kairi could feel a sinister aura coming from the casket. She slowly opened it, and then Kairi suddenly gasped. She saw her own body in the casket; she quickly turned around and saw a goat-head being standing behind her. She looked at the being and said, "What are you?" The goat-head being laughed demonically, then placed its hand above Kairi heard it say "DREAM OF DESTRUCTION", then the being grabbed Kairi by the head and slammed her into the floor, destroying the floor beneath them. Kairi stood up and brushed herself off and said, "This must be some kind of test." Suddenly a bone fell on top of Kairi's head. As she picked it up, she saw thousands of skeletons hanging from the ceiling. Kairi was dumbfounded by the sight of the skeletons, but then the goat-head demon spoke: "THE INNOCENT DIE BY HANGING, THE GUILTY DIE BY DROWNING, DEVILS DIE AND ARE REBORN. TELL ME, KAIRI, ARE YOU READY TO DIE?" Kairi started walking back and forth, trying to think of a reason, but then Kairi stood still and said, "I'm ready to die." A really loud demonic laugh came from the sky, and then thousands of blades pierced through Kairi's heart. Blood started to cover the blades, but then Kairi's eyes opened widely. She instantly grabbed her chest; her breathing was heavy, and she was sweating all over. Kairi spoke in an exhausted voice, "What just happened? I definitely felt those blades in my chest." The goat-like demon appeared in front of her, saying "Those blades were certainly real when they got covered in your blood. You completed the first test. "Are you ready for the second test, Kairi?" she sighed before nodding in response. She looked up at the demon, saying, "You're Belphegor, right?" The demon laughed in response before disappearing. It said, "Indeed I am." Suddenly the room went pitch black. A white-haired corpse was placed inside of a guillotine. Kairi walked closer to the corpse, realising that it looked similar to Nova, and then from the sky, Belphegor said, "THIS CORPSE HAS COMMITTED COUNTLESS CRIMES. EVEN THOUGH SHE LOOKS LIKE YOUR LOVER, ARE YOU ABLE TO PUT HER OUT OF HER MISERY?" Kairi stood beside the corpse looking down at it with shock. Kairi drew her arm blade, but then her whole body started shaking, and she started screaming, saying, "IT ISN'T HER; I WILL NEVER HURT HER." She took a deep breath before slicing the corpse's head clean off. The space shifted again as Belphegor stood in front of Kairi, saying, "Well done. You have completed my trials. My sin is completely yours to control." Belphegor turned into mist and flew into Kairi's body. Soon after, Kairi realised that her consciousness was still in the space, but then she remembered Belphegor's words. Kairi took a deep breath and started to absorb everything in the surrounding space. Kairi started building destruction energy into her hand; she used her new grand spell, "Dreams of Destruction", and the space crumbled. Kairi's consciousness ended up on top of a building. It was nighttime, and the surrounding buildings were very bright. Kairi sat down and pulled her phone out. She smiled and did a peace sign. She` took a photo and sent it to Nova with the text saying, "I miss you, beautiful." Kairi stood up and said, "Hopefully after this Nova and I can find some place quiet to live." Kairi's consciousness returned to her body. She reached her hands out and started using the Sin of Sloth's power; all of the grey liquid slowly started to fade. Kairi said, "We just have to find a way to seal the space now." Nezha and Testarossa regrouped with Kairi and started brainstorming ideas to seal the space.
