The creature beneath Victor suddenly shifted violently.
Its enormous chest-mouth split open.
Victor's eyes widened.
"Oh, hell—"
The creature flipped him upward—
Then dropped him directly above its open maw.
Victor plummeted toward the abyssal mouth.
Without hesitation, he activated Shadow Blink.
VANISH.
He reappeared instantly atop Gojo's back.
Gojo was already airborne, flapping violently as he ascended with Eirene seated behind Victor.
"Gojo—fly!"
Gojo screeched and surged upward but the creatures reacted instantly.
Massive arms swung upward.
Fwwhiii~
Each arm moved faster than something of that size had any right to.
The sky darkened beneath their massive limbs.
WHOOM!
A colossal hand nearly crushed them midair.
Gojo twisted violently, evading by inches.
Another arm swung...
And another...
And another.
Hundreds of arms reached skyward like living towers.
Victor gritted his teeth.
"Faster!"
