[3rd POV]
Now that Morgan had the Shinto Gods at her beck and call, Morgan found herself at an impasse. She had the weaponry, the people, and the resources. But what she found that she was lacking at this point, was proper information.
Information on how to actually kill the damn thing. She had made a LOT of different weapons that could potentially kill them, but the key word was "Potentially". She did not know nor understand if it would actually work. She had never put it into proper function, and had no idea how it would interact with Trihexa.
And the worst part about it was that she didn't even have anyone to really ask, as nobody had properly fought the creature and lived. Well...nobody except one person, and that particular person was not easy to talk with, thanks to their lack of understanding of emotions.
That person, of course, was Ophis.
Ophis and Great Red were (as far as she knew) the last two beings in the world that had ever even seen the damn thing. And as interesting as it was to think about asking Great Red about that sort of thing, Morgan knew she simply could not.
Great Red was notorious for being hard to talk to, just as much as Ophis. And this was not because he was emotionless or didn't understand the question. No, this was because the dragon God of Dreams knew exactly what you were asking.
He just didn't care about answering.
The Dragon God of Dreams did what he wanted, when he wanted, and how he wanted. Nobody could control or dictate his thoughts and decisions, not even Ophis. He was stronger than her afterall, and not once had she ever won in her clashes with him.
Of course, she had never truly gone all out against him. As if she did, it could potentially unravel the planet, and she didn't particularly want to lose the only place that could help her, should she lose.
And while Ophis was...not easy to talk to, she was somehow easier than Great Red, as weird as that may sound when thinking about the type of person Ophis tended to be. But Great Red was just...a pain in the ass, plain and simple.
Which is why Morgan was currently in Ophis's room, the ancient being sitting on her lap, munching on a cookie as Morgan absentmindedly pat her head as the dragon watched her show. It was an anime, this time being "One Punch Man".
Ophis liked to think of it as real, and had asked several times at this point where she could find the man known as Saitama. And every time she had been told that he was not real, she would show a bigger and bigger pout.
It was honestly adorable.
"Hey Ophis, can I ask you a question?" Morgan said abruptly, as she felt Ophis shuffle a bit on her lap, before turning up at her with a tilt of her head.
"What is your question?" Ophis asked, staring into the eyes of the one she chose as her mate. Morgan was very powerful, she knew, and she was growing so fast that Ophis understood that it was only a matter of time before her mate surpassed her and Baka Red.
She was very excited for that day, whenever it came. Be it within the next year or in a millennia. She had a lot of time, a lot of patience, and was even willing to help Morgan get there if need be.
"What was Trihexa like, when it was free?" Morgan asked, as Ophis blinked several times, staring into her eyes with confusion.
"Trihexa? Why do you ask about that...thing?" Ophis responded, she didn't seem to like speaking on Trihexa. Morgan even noticed that it seemed to make her...uncomfortable.
"Because it's going to get released soon, Ophis. Rizevim Lucifer has recently obtained the means to break the seal that the previous Biblical God had made, and it is only a matter of time for it to break free at this point. Which is why I am asking what it was like, so that when it eventually does break free, as I know it will, I will have the capabilities to kill it, or at least incapacitate it" Morgan explained, as Ophis silently stared into her eyes for a few more moments, as if wondering how to respond.
Before eventually, after nearly a minute of thinking, she began to speak.
"You cannot kill Trihexa" Ophis replied bluntly, causing Morgan to raise an eyebrow.
"Everything has an end, Ophis. I'm sure that Trihexa has something that can kill it" Morgan responded, confident that there was something to do. Some path they could take to get rid of the glaring issue that they were dealing with. Or the issue that they would be dealing with.
"Not Trihexa, Morgan. It is a being of pure chaos and anarchy. And thanks to that, it does not abide by regular laws of the universe, and can break them with little difficulty" Ophis replied, before stopping Morgan from response as she continued.
"How do you know it cannot be killed?" Morgan asked, confused on why Ophis seemed so confident about this. Morgan had killed and done a lot of things that were seemingly completely impossible to accomplish. So it was strange to hear Ophis be so resolute and firm.
"Because I and Baka Red had tried to kill it. Long before Earth had even formed we had worked together to fight against the creature. But no matter how many times we have seemingly killed it, no matter how many times it is pushed back, it continues to return over and over. Death cannot claim it, and thus, we can never defeat it. Not truly" Ophis responded, remembering the many battles they had fought.
It "Died" for a moment, before reforming casually like it had not been killed over and over and over. The Dragon Gods were the only ones to push it to that point, but even after destroying it's body, it did not matter. It just kept coming back.
Morgan was growing increasingly concerned with all the new information it was getting, as she realized that if the dragon gods could not kill the damn thing, then what chance does she have?
Now don't get her wrong, she could kill and do a lot of things. And she had a lot of power, more than anyone else in the world beyond the Dragon Gods and Trihexa. But she did not have power on their scale, not yet.
"You know, I never have asked. What exactly is Trihexa, Ophis? I've tried to find out more about the thing, but the more I learn, the more I find that it is simply impossible and doesn't make sense" Morgan asked, very curious to hear the answer to this particular question.
"It is a dragon God, akin to Baka Red and I" Ophis replied slowly, watching her chosen mates eyes widen in shock and confusion.
"I knew it had a dragon in it, but I didn't realize it was born as a Dragon God! What was it the God of?" Morgan asked, wondering if it was chaos. If so, it would be an apt description.
"Baka Red and I never found out. But we both assumed that it was Chaos, for it perfectly inherits the ideas of chaos and what it means to be a part of a world with so much chaos" Ophis answered.
"Hmm, at least I know that anti dragon weapons and poisons work on it. But am I right to assume that it will not matter?" Morgan asked, tilting her head at the girl who nodded slowly.
"It would require something of enough potency to kill me, in order to work on it. And nobody has the capability to do something like that. You could perhaps weaken me enough to do it, but that would never apply to Trihexa, who is chaos given form and will adapt to the changes around it" Ophis explained, agreeing with the words of Morgan.
They would do very little to Trihexa when the time comes.
Morgan sighed as she heard all of this, as the more she heard about Trihexa and it's past, the more worried Morgan became. She worried that they wouldn't even be able to do anything in this battle, and if all of her preparations were meaningless or not.
She really hoped not.
Ophis soon became bored with that conversation and returned to her show, all the while Morgan stroked her head, with one thought on her mind.
'Seems I'll have to rethink some of my plans'
