Picking up the call, the Gardener held it to his ear - in the middle of stirring his cauldron.
As he was about to inquire about the purpose of this call, his eyes immediately widened into shock at what he heard:
"Medicine... I ran out..."
"Excuse me?"
Despite being shocked, the Gardener did not pause his stirring even once. Instead, he continued to concoct the medicine, throwing in a few more ingredients from time to time, multitasking.
"How have you run out? By my calculations, I had created just enough for you to last 3 weeks - more than enough to last you until we arrive back at the main estate after the Legacy Table.
"There were... Unforeseen occurrences where my condition would spike uncontrollably. I believe the corruption had somehow built a resistance to your pills."
Marionette's revelation caused the Gardener to finally pause, dead in his tracks, freezing his mind from multitasking.
