Reph knew that the monster before him wasn't completely at fault for his friends' deaths. It was the cultist priest's fault. But with how he was right now, only in his dreams could Reph hope to beat him.
When he saw Albrecht's current state, Reph had already begun to grieve heavily for his friends. The hope that they could've survived, or perhaps be left in a state where he could place their remains in coffins, was shattered.
He won't ever be able to see their faces again. Nor would he be able to see their corpses. So, when he was given the chance to be able to let out his grief—
"ON MY ROYAL NAME AS LIONBRIGHT…"
—He took it.
"YOU WILL NOT LIVE TO SEE TOMORROW!"
Albrecht watched as a myriad of lights shone from Reph's body, coming from the numerous gems adorning his body. Slowly, Albrecht watched as the prince's body was lifted from the ground.
In the next moment—
BAM!
—He felt the world spin.
