Chapter 94 - The Blood of Wolves

Klaus's apartment was upside down. A broken table, a cracked mirror. And against the wall, Klaus, panting, his face bloodied.

In front of him, his attacker advanced slowly, his eyes shining with an animal glow.

—Why are you doing that? Klaus asked, out of breath.

The other sneered.

— Do you really want to know?

He stepped forward again, revealing his face to the light.

—Ray?!

Ray clenched his fists.

—If you hadn't tried to rape Isabella, she never would have thrown herself into Gale's arms! he yelled.

Klaus burst out laughing despite the blood dripping from his lip.

— Jealous, huh? Jealous that she preferred someone else? Don't make me laugh. Neither you nor I deserved it. After everything you put him through...

Ray roared, and this time he charged forward. But Klaus fought back. The two collided with the force of two wild beasts. The floor vibrated, furniture flew.

Then the door opened violently.

—Klaus! Ray! cried Gale.

He stood frozen at the sight of the scene: Ray kicked Klaus, knocking him to the ground. Gale immediately intervened, trying to hold Ray back.

— Stop, Ray! he yelled. You're going to kill him!

— Let me go! Ray roared. He must pay!

Klaus, still on the ground, then saw an object fallen to the ground: a short blade, made of shiny metal. He immediately felt its nature. An anti-lycan weapon.

He slowly got up and grabbed her, his eyes burning with rage.

— Do you want to kill me? So come closer, you coward! he shouted.

Ray charged. Gale, without thinking, intervened.

- No !

A dry sound. The silence.

Klaus remained frozen. His hand was trembling. The blade was stuck in Gale's chest.

— G-Gale… no… I… I didn't mean to…

Gale looked at him, a tear sliding down her cheek.

Then he collapsed.

Ray stepped back, horrified.

At that moment, Axel and Marlie entered, horrified.

— Gale!!! Axel shouted, rushing towards him.

Marlie stood frozen, staring at Klaus and the blood-covered weapon.

—What did you do, Klaus?! she screamed.

"I…it's an accident…" he sobbed.

Without missing a beat, Axel carried Gale, helped by Marlie. Together, they rushed out, leaving Klaus and Ray alone in silence.

Klaus fell to his knees, dropping the bloody blade, letting it fall, the blade clinking against the ground.

— I didn't want... I didn't want... he repeated over and over, tears streaming down his face.

Ray, upset, whispered:

—What did we do...

Then he left without a word.

Klaus stood there on his knees, staring at his blood covered hands before bursting into tears.
