The frost cracked around Asher with a sharp crack.

Miria, who thought she had won, widened her eyes.

— No… no, no, no! This is not possible!

The ice fragments dispersed in a magical blast. Asher slowly raised his head. His eyes, an incandescent red, shone with a bewitching brilliance.

He murmured, in a deeper, almost hoarse voice:

— It seems that the game is not over.

Miria took a step back.

— Asher, stop! It's not you!

"Oh, but it's definitely me," he whispered, approaching with a slow, measured step. The one you hide deep in your dreams.

She tried to raise her hand to cast a spell, but her arm refused to obey.

- What is… ?!

— No need to struggle, my dear.

His warm breath caressed her ear as he was already standing behind her. Miria wanted to move away, but her body remained motionless, as if frozen by an invisible charm.

"Let me go, Asher…

—Why? You're trembling, but your heart doesn't say no.

He gently picked her up, carrying her to the couch. His burning gaze never left her for a second.

Miria tried to regain her composure.

"Asher, listen to me. You're not in your right mind, that's fate!

"If it's a spell, then I never want it to break," he whispered, brushing his fingertips over her cheek.

A shiver ran through her.

— Asher, stop...

But his words were choked when his lips found hers.

The kiss took her by surprise—gentle, then more and more urgent, almost feverish. She wanted to resist, but every beat of her heart seemed to tell her otherwise.

His lips left Miria's to cover her cheek, then her neck, before descending to the hollow of her chest. But his clothes became an unbearable obstacle. He raised his head, a voracious smile on his lips, and began to unbutton his shirt.

Soriya's generous chest, still hidden by a bra, appeared. Asher licked his lips while Miria blushed and swallowed hard. She looked away. Damn… why am I shivering just seeing him look at me like that?! she thought, disturbed. When he finally removed her bra, Miria, embarrassed, blushed even more.

— "Asher!" she protested weakly, her cheeks burning.

But he didn't give him the chance to hide. His hands roamed the soft skin of her breasts before his lips closed over one of them. He let his tongue tease the hardened peak, nibbling lightly before capturing it between his lips, drawing uncontrolled gasps of pleasure from Miria. She gave in to the overwhelming sensations, her moans escaping involuntarily. She was soon completely naked under him, panting, her eyes veiled with desire. Asher looked at her for a moment, fascinated.

His conscience protested weakly:

— No, no, no! Resist! He is bewitched!

— How do you expect me to resist that?! Miria thought, panting.

"Okay… okay," the little inner voice admitted. Let's put reason on pause… just this once.

Asher hugged her tighter, his eyes glowing with a hypnotic glow. Miria, her heart distraught, felt her strength betray her.

"He knows exactly how to… touch me," she thought, confused. How does he do that...?

He took off his jacket, revealing a chest with pale reflections, almost sculpted by the light. His fingers brushed the back of Miria's neck, his warm breath ghosting against her skin.

Their breathing mingled. The air seemed charged with pure electricity, with a magnetism impossible to break.

Then suddenly, a voice rang out:

—Aether resolvatur, vincula cordis dissolvantur!

Asher froze, his face tense. A searing pain crossed his forehead. He held his head, groaning under his breath.

— Asher! Miria shouted, panicked.

His glowing eyes slowly darkened, turning black again, before he collapsed against her, unconscious.

Miria, still panting, gently pushed him away and looked up at the source of the voice.

Kari and Alix stood in the doorway.

Alix lowered her hand, her golden eyes returning to their usual shade.

Kari gave a mischievous smile.

"Looks like we're right on time, right?

Miria hid herself with her clothes, blushing so hard she thought she might explode.

"It's not… it's not what you think!"

"Oh, yes," Kari said, laughing. And honestly, we don't blame you.

— Kari!

Kari raised her hands, pretending to be innocent.

—Okay, okay! We'll just... let you regain some of your dignity.

She winked at him before pulling Alix by the sleeve.

— Come, hero of the day. Let's go have a drink, they need some air.

Miria stood alone for a moment, red from ear to ear, then slapped her face.

— By the stars… why didn't I resist?

His conscience, still mocking, replied softly:

—Because he's Asher. And even magic has its weaknesses.

Miria sighed, her head in her hands, unable to know whether to laugh, cry, or hide forever.
