When Edward and Isadora got there, it was already too late. The battle was long over, with remnants of it slowly coming to and end.
The now emerging band of soldiers took it to themselves to kill any of the rebels that were left under the orders of Princess Isadora, who took the reigns after seeing the Marquess go into a state of shock. One he wasn't going to come back from anytime soon. And she couldn't blame him. What he was seeing, she would have died if this happened to her Empire.
This was a lot to take in.

The thunderous cry of Tesarius at the demise of his Consort and unborn child echoed throughout the night, sending chills in everyone's spine, including Aurora's. When she turned to look at him, she couldn't believe the look in his eyes.
The utter heartbreak, the pain and the loss of someone like he loved her so dearly was all eminent on his face, gasping for breath as angry, hot tears rolled down his cheeks. The sight only made Aurora feel more… disgusted.
