When the arachnid felt a strange force calling to him, he decided to take his chance.
Even if it means to face the humans.
Another make or break moment of his life was upon him.
Just like humans already knew about him, he also had some information about their home in the forest.
Hence he drafted a perfect plan in order to attack the human town.
His plan was —to mostly stall for time and make humans deplete their energy to cast spells slowly.
He had more than enough pawns to sacrifice.
That's why he commanded weaker soldiers of his army to attack the entrances to the town all at once.
During the siege he stayed behind and observed the town carefully with his own eyes. Just like he had predicted, humans had this invisible layer around them which let out sparks of golden energy occasionally.
The spark was tiny hence only visible when he looked at it with focus.
The barrier was thin as a membrane and repaired itself after each successful impact.
The day was about to end and he had to come up with a plan to counter the barrier problem.
He had already decided to commence the real attack under the cover of night.
Not to mention he will only get one chance to lay a siege on human settlements.
He knew all too well, why hadn't humans killed him already. Because until now he maintained a considerable distance from them.
And it was all but definite that humans will see him as a threat from now on and will hunt him down.
With the careful speculation, he was able to notice a tiny detail in the barrier. So he moved forward with his plan.
He along with some soldiers climbed the harsh terrain of the rocky mountain in the western side because he knew it was the least suspected area.
Just when the night fell he decided to reveal himself and gave out his message as a screech to his soldiers.
On his command, the rest of them hidden behind the tall trees immediately charged forward. All attacking together from all sides simultaneously.
The barrier responded exactly as he expected.
When the barrier was under attack from all sides at the same time it would surely divert its repairing ability to where a number of soldiers are trying to tear it apart.
And will ignore the tiny gap his mandibles will be making. On top of all that he controlled the natural essence well—it wasn't only his perception that evolved when he became a spirit creature.
The essence turned his saliva into corrosive acid that helped him greatly to bypass the recovering abilities of the barrier.
Hence he successfully tore through a large hole, enough for him to charge inside human settlements in the end.
As soon as he stepped inside his soldiers followed behind.
A timid human girl was standing before him. However he did not pay her any mind.
Only commanded the soldiers to raid the human houses.
Even against the creatures of a higher class, the victory was his.
The arachnid was unstoppable.

Elara watched as the soldiers of the arachnid's army charged inside the town.
She tried her best to form a defensive shield but the abomination was too overwhelming.
Her concentration was disturbed the moment the arachnid's vile gaze fell upon her.
Her mouth was dry and heart pumped like crazy. Breathing raggedly she tried to focus but coughed a mouthful of blood.
She was already at her limit, it seemed.
The arachnid's soldiers spread into the town's streets trying to tear the houses down, while the leader was heading towards her. By the looks of it —it doesn't seem like he intends to spare her life.
The rain was falling continuously. Under the soundless flashes of lightning, the abomination looked more terrifying.
Four pairs of limbs covered the distance in between quickly, his six black eyes stared at her with killing intent making her skin crawl.
The purple fuming acid dripped down from his gigantic maw.
The arachnid remained motionless for a while as though trying to observe her actions. Then one of his mandibles pierced her thigh —the creature deliberately twisted his mandibles into her skin, savouring every bit of her agony.
Elara screamed for her life as the acid-like saliva of the arachnids was mixed with her blood slowly.
The pain was agonizing but it didn't kill her.
Then the abomination pulled out his mandible and stared at the human girl —crying for her life.
However, Elara couldn't do anything even if she wanted to.
She was no soldier or even a fighter in the first place.
All she did in her life was research and follow her passion. She was an inventor more than a fighter.
A shame she was always forced against her wishes by others. The higher ups misused her discoveries and used it like a weapon. Everything was meant for war that time.
However, she did not regret her decision to volunteer for town's safety now as much as she regretted being a pawn for the higher ups back then.
Only after coming here, far from the cacophony of war she found peace. True there were some problems here too but not as much as her homeland.
Even if she is to die tonight she would die without any regret that was for sure.
As the decisive blow of the towering figure neared her every second her whole life began flashing before her eyes.
At last she did her best.
"Don't you dare wake my son."
Suddenly Elara felt a powerful presence aside from the arachnid on the battlefield.
Elara opened her eyes as she heard a familiar voice. That belonged to her saviour, the person she had decided to follow her whole life.
The air grew colder as if the winter was already here. The drops of rain suddenly stopped midway, beginning to freeze.
Then suddenly the tiny drop of ice turned into an enormous spike, piercing the arachnid through his shell.
Abomination stared with wide eyes as he nearly escaped death. Soon after that various spikes of ice protruded through the ground —aimed at the colossal creature.
Elara heaved a sigh of relief as the creature took some steps back. The arachnid seemed to hesitate—not even trying to confront the new threat directly.
His instincts screamed to get away from this human.
Watching the abomination wary of her, Elara turned to her saviour.
At a distance, Sophia stood with beautiful elegance. Her dark hair tied in a ponytail and her light blue dress swaying with the gentle winds.
Her red ruby eyes sized up the arachnid as she waved a hand.
Various spikes of ice shot through the ground, killing many soldiers of the arachnid's army all at once.
Her method was swift and effective. The blow was precise and merciless.
Watching her slaughter so many creatures she couldn't even see was both terrifying and mesmerizing.
The ice began to spread in the streets, sharp spikes protruding the ground unexpectedly.
Hence the confidence of the arachnids soldiers began to waver as many of them already tried to escape.
Sophia's gaze was fixed on the arachnid, a cold light flashed in her red ruby eyes.
She raised her arm, a long spear of ice slowly taking shape in her hand.
Trying to suppress her anger she pointed the spear at the arachnid,
"You've committed an unforgivable sin by trying to disturb my baby boy's sleep."
