Chapter 91 - Chapter 91 - Kamal, an Island Kingdom

POV

[

And then, 1 week later, on a weekend, Katsuko, Kahraman, and Viviana went to Nuevo Tacloban for a visit to Basilio. They walked on foot, though Kahraman complained about the long walk they had to go through and wanted to take a bus.

"Come on, dude…" Katsuko was annoyed by him for the fifth time, "...you should've taken one when we were in Sárga Madár! Me and your sister would have just done this ourselves!"

Kahraman then felt regretful about his complaints.

"Well, you can take a bus if you want on the way home then."

 "Okay then…'

Meanwhile, in his office, Basilio was reading a letter of an offer of a trade partnership with a kingdom called Kamal. This kingdom was an archipelago nation that is, in terms of adaptation of technology, was very conservative and strict, as well as very rigid in its old social norms that were still enforced to this day. He had read about it before in his free time and saw that its capital city, Zemelja, was a coastal one, and it allows modern ferries to come into its major harbour.

And then, Katsuko and his two companions knocked on the door, and Basilio said, "Come in." The door was opened, and the three went in.

"Oh! Hi, guys," Basilio responded upon seeing their presence.

"Greetings," one of his Vamzom guards in the room added in greeting.

"Yo," Katsuko replied with a greeting on his hand.

"Hi, guys!" Viviana added with a respectful greeting.

Later, all of them are in a drawing room in the castle. Helena served some hot tea and some biscuits and cookies.

"How are you guys?" Basilio said to Katsuko, Kahraman, and Viviana. "What's with your visit here?"

"Oh, we wanted to have some time off from our academics," Kahraman responded briefly and positively.

"Yeah, luckily, today is my day off from my part-time job," Katsuko added while being comfy on the sofa.

"Oh, I see then," Basilio responded while sipping on his cup of tea.

"So, how's your work?" Katsuko replied.

"It's fine, normal and good. Not much to do other than these things."

 "Oh…"

"Oh! Also, I received a letter of an offer of a trade partnership with a kingdom called Kamal."

Basilio then showed that Kamal letter, which was made of high-quality cotton paper, to them, who looked at it.

 "Kamal…" Kahraman commented.

"An island kingdom off from the mainland?" Viviana asked.

Putting the letter down, Basilio responded, "Yes, and they wanted to trade goods with us."
