Aria's POV
It was safe to say that I hated ridding. I massaged my aching back glaring at the towering man in front of me. This was all his fault, I grumbled hastening my steps to catch up to him against the protests of my sore muscles.
The vegetation was thicker in these parts of the forest, the tress were tightly packed, making it hard for us to navigate on the horse, leaving us no choice but to abandon the horse.
Kael assured me that the horse was highly intelligent and it was trained to make it way back to the castle when I expressed my concerns about letting the horse free in the wild.
Although the both of us were back to speaking terms, the air was still filled with tension, making the silence as we walked very closely, very...uncomfortable.
The air seemed to change, the close we got to the veil. The cold breeze sent shivers running through my body making the hairs at the back of my neck stand at attention.
