Her voice remained calm, but every word landed like a blade.
"After all, a man isn't worth keeping if he can't even stay loyal."
For a moment, Gwen was completely taken aback.
Mira continued. "Actually, I understand why you did it now."
She rested her chin on one hand. "You're only human. If your husband isn't loyal, then of course you'd become paranoid."
The words were spoken casually, yet they stung far more than any insult.
Then Mira's expression became serious. "I'm going to sue you for all the neglect you've put me through."
The statement finally brought Gwen back to reality.
A smile slowly spread across her face.
"Sure," she replied. "Go ahead and do it. I can hire the best lawyers available and make sure I stay out of jail."
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
"But remember this. Once I do, I won't forget everything you've said to me today."
Mira chuckled again.
"Sure, sure. That would actually be great."
