Ch.04
After an hour of trying to make the Lotus Blade shift into the P.D.V.I, Rufus sighed and let the Blade drop to the ground. Yori was in tears while Master Sensei had a sad expression as he seemed to have aged a century. It didn't work.
Rufus felt as though his world had shattered. Why won't the Blade change for him. With frustration he pawed the Lotus Blade and tried changing it's shape to other things and easily achieved them. A bo staff, a shield, a snowboard a knife and a key chain with a miniature Lotus Blade but when he tried a phone it was unresponsive. 'Could it be that the Lotus Blade couldn't imitate modern tech?' Rufus wonder dispiritedly.
Yori grabbed the discarded Lotus Blade as Rufus and Master Sensei discussed what the Naked Mole Rat wondered when there was a flash of light and Yori disappeared along with the Lotus Blade.
"Yori!" Master Sensei called out. "Rufus-san, call the Blade back."
"...I can't!" Rufus said.
"What do you mean, Rufus-san?" Master Sensei asked.
"The Lotus Blade is refusing to return." Rufus explained.

10 Years Later
For 10 long years Wade has been in a constant struggle in his research but still he'd yet to successfully make a P.D.V.I. The device seemed stubbornly out of reach.
Wade had turned 23 a few days ago and had his mom not stop by his lab to celebrate his birthday he wouldn't have noticed. Wade had also noticed his mom's sad look, that she tried to hide and being older he understood why. She thought herself the reason he so persistently pursued this particular project but it was simply his faith that Ron and Shego were alive. He just couldn't explain it and the therapist that his mom convinced him to see once a month suggests that he is in a state of denial.
And though Wade can understand his assumption he is sure he is not in denial. Though that's exactly what someone in denial would think!
Thinking back to 10 years ago he thought of Rufus and Kim. Rufus had disappeared and knowing the lifespan of a Naked Mole Rat was likely dead.
Then there's Kim. After that mission she was never the same but eventually her grieving gave way to guilt and anger. Then, she was found dead of an overdose in her room.

First, Kim had joined GJ as she had agreed that Wade should focus on building the P.D.V.I. Then, she did her first mission with them after about 6 months off the field. The mission was to stop Senor Senior Senior and Junior who were terrorizing businesses of Senior's completion. Junior with a broken arm and Senior unconscious but both were stopped.
Second, was to stop Motor Ed who stole a fleet of classic and antique cars. With a broken leg but the man was stopped.
And lastly, there was Gil, who had once again mutated himself. Gil lost an arm before he was captured after mutating an elementary school.
All those injuries were courtesy of Kim who had decided not to hold back on her opponents and with the gear GJ provided it had become rather easy to achieve. The combat knife specially was hard not to use for lethal means. Kim knew that was a step she shouldn't take but she figured short of lethal, everything was fair play.
It was when footage was leaked of Kim cutting off Gil's arm, that the criticism started to come in as people were shocked at the brutality of that fight. Kim knew that it was her mission partner, Will Du, who had released the footage. Likely to discredit her or some other asinine reason which had worked as Dr Director gave her desk duty.
That was when Kim discovered that the villains weren't escaping by themselves as it was part of Project CONTROL, that she found while browsing the files, which facilitated their neigh upon easy escapes. The purpose so that GJ gets the funding it wanted to stop them and it was in the files that were classified under the highest ranking which Kim got the clearance after she had enlisted with GJ.
In other words, GJ had set in place a convenient circumstance to get government funding worldwide. And Kim knew she was supposed to find this information as the one behind Project CONTROL was Dr Director herself and one thing Dr Director had always told Kim is that she would be her successor. Thus she decided to confront the woman.
The resulting talk ended with Kim unconscious after having neigh upon attacked Dr Director. The woman had then had Will Du sneak Kim back home and pump so much drugs into her system that she overdosed quickly, never to open her eyes again.

The death of Kim hit the Possible's hard. Nana had a heart attack that claimed her life upon finding Kim in the morning. James Possible became an alcoholic and lost his job 2 years down the line.
Ann held strong for her sons but at night she'd cry herself to sleep in the guest bedroom. Her family had fallen apart and it all started with Ron's disappearance or more likely death. Jim and Tim had mostly disappeared into the basement that they turned into their lab. Working on what, Ann did not know, but she struggled to get them out for the last 10 years. She had forced them to go to school at first but then the twins tested out of high-school and got a few Doctorates online leaving her helpless as to what to do.
Ann maintained her career as a neuro surgeon seeing as it was the only thing keeping the family finances afloat.

It took Ron three days to make it to Drakken's lair in Drakanada.
Ron was stressed with how long it took him to approach Drakken's base but he had no choice. Even his mastery of MMP and ninjutsu just barely made it possible to get there. This at least comforted Ron, as though he knew Shego who was likely on his trail would struggle to keep up with his pace.
Once on the other side of Hudson Bay, separated from Drakken's lair by the body of water, and surrounded by darkness, Ron figured it was time to call the weapon that would make his mission possible. "To me, Lotus Blade!"
There was a tense moment where nothing happened before Ron felt air in front of his hand vibrate and a brilliant flash of light lit up the surrounding area like the midday sun. "Fuck!" Ron cursed not having expected the light show and closed his hand around the Lotus Blade. Pulling it he felt a counter pull from ahead, forcing Ron to watch as the glow faded and standing there holding the Lotus Blade was Yori.
"Nani...? (what?)" Yori called out her eyes widening upon seeing Ron.
Knowing there's was no time for conversation though he could tell Yori was surprised by what just happened, Ron grabbed Yori's waist with his right hand, transformed the Lotus Blade into a watch on his left wrist and jumped into the water. Just before entering the water Ron created a bubble around each of their heads. Ron vaguely noted that Yori must have been extremely shocked, as she didn't attack him when he acted, though a couple of seconds after they got into the cold water she started to act as she began swimming upwards. Ron held her as his side as he swam deeper and further from the coast.
Seeing as trying to swim up was getting her nowhere, Yori began swimming with Ron following his lead. Then she heard Ron's voice inside her head. "Good, Yori follow my lead it's not safe in this area."
"Ron-san, where are we?" Yori asked.
"I expected you to ask how am I alive first?" Ron said as a reply.
"Why would I ask such a thing?" Yori asked again.
"Why...?" Ron asked. "What do you mean why? I heard that this universe's Ron was dead."
"This universe's Ron is dead?" Yori repeated. "Ron-san, I believe there's been a misunderstanding. I am not from this universe. The universe that YOU hail from is where I came from. I was just standing with Master Sensei and Rufus a moment ago trying to figure out a way to bring you back to us when the Lotus Blade I was holding glowed brilliantly and then pulled me here, to you."
That froze Ron in place. 'Yori was from his universel but how?'
"And what do you mean this universe's Ron-san is dead?" Yori asked.
Ron floated in place for a good 30 seconds before he resumed swimming and began to explain the situation they found themselves in.
Yori for her part listened though she was shocked to hear this universe's fate. Drakken as the Great Blue had conquered earth with the help of an extraterrestrial. The same extraterrestrial who killed Kim, Ron and Shego. The same whose defenses killed or incapacitated countless forces who tried to fight back. And this place built by that extraterrestrial, is where Ron is intent on breaking into.
"Ron-san I shall assist you." Yori declared.
"No!" Ron denied firmly.
"Ron-san, I believe I will." Yori insisted and moved to explain before Ron could cut her off. "The only way to stop me is to incapacitate me and if you do so I'll be in the same or greater danger."
"Damn it, Yori there are countless lives in danger and I can't afford to be distracted or hold back like this universe's Ron." Ron yelled into her mind.
"I understand perfectly the mission and I assure that I can handle my safety, Ron-san." Yori insisted.

Shego didn't notice falling asleep but when she woke up she felt completely drained and a great desire to use the bathroom.
"Ron, I need to use the bathroom." Shego called out not aware that she was feeling her whole body again. There was no answer. "Ron wake up, I need to use the bathroom!"
Still no answer, so Shego did exactly what she does when someone upsets her, she threw a plasma ball, though simply a low power one that would feel like a punch. Still nothing. 'Damn it he's not there!' Shego realized. 'It's fine, you don't need anyone Shego, just drag yourself there and be done with it!'
Reaching for the top bunk with her left hand, Shego began lifting her weight and pushed herself onto the ground. Shego obviously expected to feel nothing, so you see how shocked she was when her ribs hurt like he'll from the bad landing.
"Fuck that hurt!" Shego yelled. "...fuck that...hurt?" 'It's hurts! It HURT!!' Shego realized and gingerly began trying to control her body.
Her toes were wiggled, then her feet were moved to the ground and lastly Shego tried to stand. When her feet held her steady like they always done before she was crying. Shego didn't know how Ron did it but she knew it was him that done it. Ron got Shego back on her feet as promised. After a few moments of crying in relief Shego's need to use the bathroom brought her back to the present.
Shego went to the bathroom, relieved herself and then for good measure decided to take a shower on her own two feet. 'Man does it feel good to be mobile again!' It's was an hour later that she stepped out of the room and started looking for Ron and everyone else.
It was a few minutes later that she found Wade seemingly sleeping at his chair in his command center. Not wishing to wake and startle the teen, Shego decided to look for Ron wherever he might be. So, thinking thus she let Wade sleep and moved around the base. 5 minutes later she ran into Dr Director in a gym and asked her if she'd seen Ron, inwardly smirking at her shocked look.
"Thought he be sleeping." Dr Director said after finally getting her wits back.
"Nope, wasn't there and the teen is sleeping in his command center." Shego clarified.
"What!" Dr Director yelled.
"Said he wasn't there and the teen was asleep." Shego repeated irritated with her yelling.
"Something is wrong, Wade does not sleep in his command center!" Dr Director said and rushed from the room.
Shego followed Dr Director closely and they soon entered Wade's command center. Dr Director checked the teens pulse and sighed in relief before moving to wake him.
"Wade wake up we have an emergency!" Dr Director called to him.
Shego saw the teen jump in his chair and look around. "Fuck, where is Ron?" Wade asked.
"Not sure but why are you sleeping here?" Dr Director asked.
"It was Ron, he out me to sleep." Wade said as he began manipulating his systems.
"Damn it he's likely on his way to Drakken's lair by now!" Shego called out startling Wade.
"Shego!" Wade yelled. "But how?"
"Not the time." Shego cut in. "Check how long ago Ron left, we need to intercept him before he gets himself killed!"
"On it." Wade said and kept manipulating his system, then he saw that a feed showing Ron exiting the base. "Damn it, he left 22 hours and 12 minutes ago."
"Damned fool!" Shego yelled and started pacing while shooting Wade a request for gear.
"Shego you can't seriously be thinking of going after him?" Asked Dr Director.
"That I am!" Shego assured the woman. "Wade that gear..."
At that moment a call came in to both Dr Director's communication unit and Wade's.
"Hello, can anyone hear me?!" A man screamed into a camara in front of Wade's screen.
"Yeah Johnson, we hear you what's going on?" Wade called out.
"Warmonga just stormed the base and we've suffered heavy casualties." Johnson explained. "Even some of our supporters have called for help. The Great Blue is doing a sweep! I don't know how many have been discovered but everyone need to evacuate immediately!!"
On Dr Director's end it was much the same but from someone called Number One.
