When the tremors finally subsided, Maria collapsed back onto the bed, panting, her body limp and trembling before looking up at Cassius hovering over her.
"I love you, Cassius." She whispered. "I love you so much."
He kissed her forehead.
"I love you too, Maria. More than you'll ever know."
He pulled out slowly, and she whimpered at the loss.
But before she could mourn the emptiness, he was turning her over, positioning her on her hands and knees.
She looked back at him, her eyes wide.
