Chapter 165 - Chapter 165: Five Rounds of Draw

Come with enthusiasm, and return with a sense of satisfaction.

A great prize awaited Lance at the start, and for a moment, he stood frozen in front of the prize screen, his brow slightly furrowed. Lance's hand lifted, almost touching the confirmation button, but doubt lingered at the tips of his fingers.

But—forget it. Where Lance pressed everything at once. One go, no holding back.

The first draw.

[Name: Snake Talisman

Origin: Jackie Chan Adventures

Introduction: Grants the wearer the ability to become invisible]

Lance nodded slightly. Another talisman. Nice. An addition to the collection.

Invisibility? Hmm… not something he would use often. A fighter type like Lance preferred to fight openly, not sneak around like a third-rate thief. But still, this item has potential. It might be useful… at the right time.

The second draw.

[Name: Gilgamesh, Shock Steel

Origin: Devil May Cry

Introduction: Gloves and demon armor made of steel for close combat, crafted from "devilish metal" collected from the heart of the demon world. This metal strengthens the body after merging with a living being, releasing a stronger impact force when attacking.]

Lance clicked his tongue. A little gem.

Gilgamesh is not just a weapon—it is an entity that lives in metal form. Liquid devilish steel that can shape itself according to its owner's will. On Dante, the armor envelops the body, forming protrusions like missile launchers on the wrists, spinning gears on the legs, and a helmet resembling a demon mask on the face.

However, unfortunately, Lance already had something superior—the God of War Cloth. That gear alone was at the top of the war artifact list. So, Gilgamesh? Just raw metal.

Maybe... it could be melted down. The new uru he recently acquired could be added in the refining process. Who knows, the result might be much more interesting.

The third draw.

[Name: Rune Pul

Origin: "Diablo II"

Introduction: Attached to weapons, +75% Damage against Demons, +100 Attack Rating against Demons. Attached to armor, increases defense by 30%.]

Lance squinted. An ancient rune from a world once filled with darkness and destruction. Its symbol glowed faintly, like embers that never extinguished.

Perfect for Ebony and Ivory. Too bad, only one. The effect is good, but like a puzzle piece that isn't complete. If only Lance could find another rune and combine them into a rune-word...

The fourth draw.

[Name: Rooster Talisman

Origin: Jackie Chan Adventures

Introduction: It has the ability to levitate matter. It can levitate itself or others.]

Lance smirked slightly. "Another one for the collection."

Not as impressive as the other talismans, but still has potential. Especially in battlefield manipulation or strategic escapes. And hey—flying without assistance always looks cool.

The final draw.

"For the last time... give me a little more power," Lance murmured. His voice was low and calm, yet felt tense. Where Lance pressed the last button. A purple light glowed, then…

A book.

[Name: Demon Archive

Origin: Jackie Chan Adventures

Introduction: A collection of demon magic spells gathered by Shendu, documenting spells and incantations from the eight main demons.]

Lance's eyes widened for a moment. His breath caught.

"This... is very useful." Lance's hand touched the cover of the spellbook reverently, his fingers tracing the carving of a demon's face.

The Demon Archive is not just a book. It is a weapon. A tool of domination.

With just one spell from within it, Lance could summon a shadow army. Once, in a past he almost forgot, this power nearly made someone the King of the Dark World.

Shadow Corps? A group of shadow ninjas, no stronger than second-hand forces like The Hand. But what Lance was after was not their army.

What is truly intriguing... is the knowledge.

Eight demons. Eight supernatural powers, each representing a major element—Fire, Sky, Moon, Thunder, Earth, Mountain, Wind, and Water.

And the strongest? Tso Lan. The moon demon. The master of gravity.

Controlling one of the four fundamental forces of the universe, Tso Lan is capable of tearing the moon from its orbit. In the Marvel world, even Magneto hasn't gone that far... although in some alternate worlds, Magneto has split the Earth, enslaved humanity, and challenged the Avengers alone, only to be defeated by Hulk's explosion.

Lance slowly closed the book, a faint smile spreading across his face.

"Yes... this is just an interesting beginning."

If Lance could truly learn Tso Lan's gravity spells from that book, it would be like adding a ultimate weapon to Lance's arsenal of powers—like an ant suddenly being able to lift a mountain!

And it's not just Tso Lan. Some of the other demon abilities are also extraordinary: they can control the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind; they can swallow clouds and spit out mist; even overturn mountains and roll oceans. Each of them is a formidable entity that cannot be underestimated.

As long as Lance manages to master their spells, he will become a sorcerer with powers far beyond the limits of ordinary humans.

Today, Lance has acquired six trophies—all high quality and filled with magical energy. One thing is for sure: Amenadiel is truly remarkable!

Lance mentally noted to thank him someday... and if possible, to take a few extra strands of Amenadiel's hair—who knows what other powers could be unraveled from that.

With a cheerful heart and light steps, Lance returned to the villa. However, as soon as he opened the living room door, Lance saw a familiar figure sitting on the sofa, elegantly crossing her legs.

Sidney Burnett.

"Hi, Sidney," Lance greeted as he hung up his jacket.

Sidney waved casually. "Hello, Mr. Wizard."

Sidney's gaze then shifted to Nancy, who was sitting next to Lance, and she smiled playfully. "Looks like you didn't need my help to get Nancy's phone number."

"I already got it," Lance replied with a small smile and immediately sat down next to Nancy without hesitation. "How about your job transfer? When do you start joining SHIELD?"

"All done. I'm leaving the day after tomorrow," Sidney replied with a shrug. "So I stopped by to see Nancy. We initially planned to go to SHIELD together, still be partners. But it seems Nancy is putting that on hold for a while."
