Drained of any energy and on the brink of losing his consciousness, he was completely immobilized by the severe blood lost from his leg as well as his chest. The sheer power displayed by his enemy was far greater than anything he has ever witnessed, making him seem inhuman. For the moment, he could only grit his teeth with frustration while watching the man slowly approach him, with each footstep sending a shiver up his spine.
'From dead to alive, to back being dead, how funny.' Plopping his head down and closing his eyes, he finally gave up and accepted that this was how he was going to die.
Crack.
However, on the brink of losing his consciousness, inside his head, Sol saw a giant glass, but that glass suddenly shattered in fragments while frozen in place. Interestingly enough, the fragments had photos on them. They were dark and blurry, but in the blink of an eye they suddenly turned vivid with color, until they moved as if playing a movie.
Scrutinizing them closely, he glanced at few of them and was shocked by what he saw. One of the fragments, it was young boy swinging a wooden sword, crying while another boy right next to him, was criticizing him. However, the one that surprised him the most was the fragment where there was five people laughing blissfully. The reason why this caught his attention the most because he recognized those people, it was him, Ares, but most importantly, Leia and Sia.
He finally remembered!
He remembered his two dear sisters that he loved very much, but lost the memory of them for some reason. It was too weird! But the most important thing he forgot, they were there, behind him. If he died, those two would definitely die! Ares might be able to survive, but he wasn't strong enough to defend them from this monster alone.
Feeling his blood boiling, he quickly shot his head up with newfound strength, staring at the stranger with fury in his eyes. Startled, the man paused for a second before changing his stance, most likely about to charge at his opponent.
Feeling around his surroundings, he felt something hard and made of metal to his right.
'A metal pipe...Where the hell did this come from?'
Clutching it tightly, he managed to barely stand up, despite the extreme pain permeating through his leg. A few broken pieces of wood flew past him at incredible speed, aiming straight for the man's head. Knowing that it was Ares who was behind them, he didn't waste his chance and charged at the man with all the strength he could muster, with Ares appearing behind him, throwing more pieces.
Clang!
The metal pipe was able to hold its own against the man's sword; however, it would only last for a couple more times before it finally broke. Breaking out of his thoughts, he saw the sword approaching him at a frightening speed.
CLING!
A few more sharp sounds filled the house until finally the sound of metal breaking could be heard, but with Ares right next to Sol, it didn't matter. Throwing a jab, the man blocked with his sword, and parrying Ares' attack with his sword. Seeing his gut wide open, Sol let out a little smirk before quickly letting out a front kick, while Ares right foot landed straight on the man's side, launching him and crashing into the future until eventually hitting the wall.
"Ares, this is too weird. In one second, that blade turns extremely dull or extremely sharp. I don't understand how he does it."
"I do-"
However, before Ares could mention how, the masked man threw a piece of glass straight at Ares, hitting him straight in the chest, causing blood to spurt out and for him to drop to the floor.
"Ares!"
Seeing this, Sol charged at the man with his broken pipe, intending to beat the living hell out of him, but failed to do so as his vision suddenly blurred, causing him to plummet to the floor.
Not this damn thing again.
Unfortunately for Sol, it was worse this time; he couldn't even manage to move anything whatsoever. He couldn't even think about anything at all! All he could do was just watch, with blurry vision, as the man stood up, wiped off the dust from his shoulder, and slowly started approaching him with blood rapidly dripping from his sword.
Sol was about to curse in his damn head, but he saw something with his blurry vision that made him question his own reality. A black circle was suddenly manifesting around the masked man. The man looked down, trying to step away but it seemed like he was blocked by a invisible barrier and was trapped. Shortly after, Black tentacle like masses shot out through the circles, and held the man tighter and tighter, until he eventually couldn't move an inch.
Take that you bastard!
That was the last thing Sol thought of, before finally passing out.
The man was still standing, but struggling and trying to remove the black mass, but he couldn't break free.
Creak!
Hearing a sound to his right, he quickly jolted his head, and he saw an old man wearing a top hat, that was carrying a black cane, with smoke coming out of it.
"You devils are so slippery and so corrupted, we are lucky we are only dealing with a young one."
As if the masked man was suddenly enraged, he let out a shriek, a loud shriek that caused the walls nearby to crack, along with the already shattered glass to shatter to an even smaller fragments.
"Oh my, you're already growing this much in strength? I better finish you fast before things get nasty."
As if understanding what the old man in front of him was saying, he started squirming even harder, but the black tentacle wrapped around him, suddenly ripped his right arm. Letting out a shriek of pure agony, the ,masked man looked back at the man with cane, but before he could even stare for a second longer, he let out another one, until the house eventually grew silent, a little too silent. Breaking the silence, the old man suddenly sighed and spoke with his raspy voice.
"August, clean up the body and restore the house's condition, Lucy, take the two boys to the dungeon, they can either give up their lives or join us, they don't have a choice anyway."
"Yes sir!" Hearing their captain, they quickly started doing their respective duties.
Lucy was looking at Ares with her dark pupils, before quickly grabbing him and Sol, dragging them out of the place.
You don't understand how blessed you two are, well cursed I should say.
