Chapter 67 - Niklaus

After sacrificing Matt's Gilbert ring to make a new compass, Bonnie entered the city to kill everything.

Now, standing in the Abattoir, she magically steadied herself and the gem as it strained against the numerous vamps and hybrids now looking upon it, their eyes burning.

This gave Klaus the chance he needed to peel his eyes away, turning his head.

"BONNIE! STOP THIS OR FEEL MY WRATH!" shouted Klaus.

Spotting the back of his head, she sneered, "FEEL MINE!" she shouted back, throwing her hands up at him, firing destructive magic.

However, Klaus was quick on his feet, moving through the screaming crowd as they started dropping dead.

Missing, she scoffed as he hit her prison barrier, unable to get out.

She laughed, throwing blasts of magic at him as he ran by, "Nowhere to run Klaus! It's time you got what's coming to you!"

"You can't kill me witch! No one can!" yelling his old tired lines as he searched for a way out, dodging spell fire.

"You have no idea what I can do," said Bonnie, drawing upon her magic. She began to chant.

He suddenly found he couldn't move anywhere except towards her.

"What is this?" asked Klaus, unable to move even a hair away from her.

"You're end," came the calm reply as she waited for him.

Out of options, Klaus rushed her in a blur of motion.

Experiencing his speed for the first time, coming at her, faster than any vamp, she was nearly caught off guard, releasing a magical bolt of pure agonizing pain just in time that lit up his nervous system like a Christmas tree, practically crippling him as he fell face-first before her, screaming.

"How's it feel Klaus?" She smirked, firing off another, getting another scream.

Fuming, Klaus gathered his wits, pain notwithstanding, and fought off the third. Foolish witch had no idea what he's been through to get to where he is today; this pain could not stop him.

Clenching his fist, "You think I haven't felt worse! You know nothing witch!" he yelled and attacked.

Shocked that he recovered so quickly and could move at all, Bonnie had nothing that could stop him in time.

Panicking, her magic reacted faster than she could, and a wave of force sent him flying back, tearing through the house and the barrier as he was propelled outward, destroying the street and the next building over on the other side as he crashed into the wall, which crumbled down on top of him.

Pushing himself free, he ran.

Walking out, she saw him go and reached out with her hand, magically catching him as he froze in the distance. Breaking his legs, he cried out as she pulled him back.

With an angry roar, he fought with everything he had, his hands ripping the street apart as he was dragged back,

Fuming as he was brought to his knees before her, eyes closed.

"The great Klaus Mikaelson, on his knees," Bonnie mocked. "What do you have to say now?"

"Huh?!" she loudly grunted unhappily when he didn't answer, snapping his arms, making him cry out again.

"I've been through worse, and like then I will come out on top!" Klaus spat.

"So you've said, big words from a man too afraid to look at me," said Bonnie, her hands grasping his head.

"But we can fix that," said Bonnie, preparing her magic when a loud bang was heard, her left shoulder jerking forward.

Shocked, Bonnie looked over to see that she had been shot.

Spinning around, she found the attacker pointing at her from above through a window, pulling him out with her magic, and half the building along with him as he fell to his death and was quickly buried.

When another shot goes off, she's ready as the bullet hits her protective barrier, and then another as she gets shot at from multiple directions all at once, as people from all over start walking out with weapons in hand, some even holding things like kitchen knives, iron steamers, crowbars, chairs, clubs, and bats.

Furious, she recalled a useful spell and quickly began to chant, casting a spell that heated all metal, rendering the guns useless, even though none were dropped as they burned; the bullets exploded, injuring many.

Another spell cast put the rest to sleep.

Klaus smirked, "Killing innocents now, witch? See, we're not so different after all?"

Realizing what was going on, she quickly turned her fury onto him.

"Shut up!" she snarled, using her magic to snap more of his bones, causing him to cry out as his fingers, hands, and arms were twisted and contorted in various ways, skin rupturing, mangled beyond recognition. "You've compelled them, haven't you! I'll see you and your entire kind wiped from the face of this earth. Now let's open those eyes," Bonnie growled.

...

Earlier in the day at home, Davina gasped as the magic in the city lit up like a beacon, "Finn! Sage! We might have a problem!" she yelled.

"What is it?" asked Finn as they appeared before her.

"Magic like nothing I've ever felt before moving into the city, towards the French Quarter," Davina informed.

"Magic moving in? New witches?" questioned Finn.

"I don't think so, it feels like… feels like me," said Davina.

"Bonnie, it has to be Bonnie," said Finn, the one witch with the potential as great as his mother.

"She's that powerful?" asked Sage.

Davina frowned, "She's strong, there's no doubt about that, but I'm stronger."

"You sure?" asked Sage.

Davina gave a firm, confident nod, "Yes, her magic feels rough, unstable even, filled with emotion. I can take her, I've learned much from you're mother's books."

"Don't underestimate her; there's no doubt she took lessons from Kol, though I suspect his teachings are limited compared to what you have. I don't know the full extent of his knowledge since I've been daggered," warned Finn. Knowing, Kol at least didn't have access to their mother's books because she had to summon them after her awakening.

"I won't. I can do this. You need me for this," Davina emphasized, eager to help.

"Alright, I trust you. There's no time to waste, can't let her take my kill," said Finn, and they got in the car with Sage at the wheel.

"She's at the French Quarter now, the magic feels strange, I sense many deaths. I think she's fighting Klaus and his army," Davina updated.

"I'm going on ahead, see you there," said Finn, hopping out of the car and speeding away on foot.

When he arrives, he sees Bonnie standing over a kneeling Klaus, prying his eyes open, his screams echoing out as they caught sight of the gem and began to burn.

Speeding over, he bends over, grabs and throws a rock, shattering against her barrier, getting her attention as she turned to see who it was, sparing Klaus from further torture as the gem was taken from his sight by the turn of her head.

"Finn!" she growled, eyes filled with hate.

"Afraid I can't let you do that, he's mine," said Finn casually.

"And you're mine!" yelled Bonnie, dropping the weakly slumped over Klaus in favor of the one who was directly responsible for her friend's demise.

It wasn't until he was speeding at her that she finally realized he wasn't affected by the gem, and it wasn't until she fired bolts of agony at him that she noticed magic didn't affect him at all.

His high-speed fist, tearing through the barrier, which gave just enough of a cushion to save her life as she took the hit head-on. Her magic working over time to keep her alive as she was knocked off her feet and sent rolling along the ground.

Now standing above Klaus, he took out the golden dagger and gripped him by the hair, yanking his head up, "Hello bastard. It's a shame you can't see this," said Finn, pointing it at his chest.

"Finn, please, don't," came the weak, fearful response, and then he gasped as Finn slowly inserted the dagger.

"Don't worry, I have so many ideas before you meet your end, you'll soon see me again," Finn promised, sticking it in his heart.

The small defeat did nothing to weaken her resolve. Seeing the golden dagger only cemented her hate, as he must have done something to Kol as well.

Getting to her feet, Bonnie glared at him, wiping the blood from her mouth. Wondering what to do, when she sensed it, an amulet around his neck, different from the rings, something that seemed off, something that resisted her magical sense, though unable to hide from it since it was magic.

And while the extra rings were suspicious, she had her target.
