The mist was hazy, the water vapor hovered, and the tranquil, shimmering water surface suddenly rippled with fragmented waves. A strangely shaped creature, resembling a long snake but with claws beneath its belly, burst from the water, its tiny sharp teeth clamping down on a silvery-scaled fish still desperately struggling.
As a wisp of crimson blood dispersed in the water, the silver fish vanished into the creature's gaping maw, and the odd creature disappeared back beneath the surface, re-submerging into the depths.
"Not enough, too little!"
The strange little creature, resembling both a salamander and a four-legged lizard, yet different, was unsatisfied after swallowing the silver fish, which occupied nearly half its size. It continued hunting underwater for suitable prey, all while keeping an eye out for creatures larger than itself to avoid becoming prey.
"Odin!"
