The flow of time between the Dark Realm and Ice Abyss is different.
One day in the former is most likely equal to a year in the latter.
While cultivating deep in the Mist Swamp Forest, Xia Hong came up with this hypothesis. His heart was in turmoil, and he immediately summoned Six-Arms. After confirming his theory, he contemplated whether to stop cultivating and head directly to White Bone Mountain, to Lady Yulou's cave, to find that passage and quickly return to Ice Abyss.
Why did he have this guess?
Because during his retreat, the annual incense fire cultivation boost of the Ancestral Spirit Stele suddenly activated by itself.
At the onset of entering the Dark Realm, he was possessed and eaten away by the Scattered Spirits, leaving him in a dazed, inexplicable frenzy, losing all sense of time. But once he had the Soul Lamp and his Bone Golden Body was repaired, he returned to normal.
