The dark slate roof, now perfectly repaired with new tiles, caught the last light of dusk, its chimneys standing tall against the sky. Every detail, the carved dormer windows, and the heraldic emblem above the columned entrance had been carefully restored.
The grounds had changed just as much. A new stone driveway led through neatly trimmed hedges and gardens. The old trees lining the path made the mansion look even grander. Lanterns along the walkways glowed softly, lighting up the restored gardens.
