A storm brew within the forest and Alicia stood at the center of it all, her storm powers in full effect.
Dark clouds gathered around her vicinity and the storm obeyed her call. As a member of the Stormhaven family, the storm was at her beck and call.
And she intended on using every bit of it against this beastman in front of her.
Jinrai watched her as she stood there, staring at him with a confident smile on her face. Posturing like the fight was already over before it even began.
And seeing this, he was enraged by her lax, almost insulting attitude. Resolving to crush her and her pride altogether, he extended his claws as he positioned to attack.
Alicia smirked, her expression filled with mockery. "Well doggy? Are you coming or what?" she taunted, her voice dripping with mockery. "It's fine if you aren't. Didn't expect much from you really."
Hearing Alice's words, Jinrai growled as he lunged at her, his claws aiming her neck.
Alicia responded by summoning a gust of wind, the force of it sending him flying backward.
He landed on his feet, his claws digging into the ground as he skidded to a stop.
"You're all the same," Alicia said, her tone cold and cruel. "Beastmen, no Fantasians as a whole. A bunch of pathetic creatures who mistakenly think they're our equals. Allow me to show you how wrong you are."
Jinrai's eyes narrowed, his growl deepening as he charged at her again using mana to enhance his speed so as to catch her off guard.
But, anticipating this, Alicia raised her hand, and a bolt of lightning fell from the sky, blasting the ground in front of him, as he was forced to move out of the way.
"Yikes," she said, her smirk widening. "At this rate you won't even amount to a challenge."
Jinrai's frustration grew as Alicia taunted him and he seemed to have no way of reaching her.
Her control ovef her storm powers was impeccable. The power of the storms itself was impressive as well.
As a result, nothing he tried worked. Whether it was trying to brute force his way through or clever find a way around, it didnt work.
On the other hand, he could barely defend himself against her attacks as the sheer force behind them was overwhelming.
Alicia, meanwhile, was enjoying herself. It had been a long time since she could just let loose like this and so it felt very thrilling for her.
And watching Jinrai do his absolute best trying to even reach her was just pitiful but that was what ticked her boxes.
Jinrai roared, his claws clashing against a wall of wind, Alicia created to seperate her and the wolf.
She then decided to respond to his encroachment with a tornado that tore off parts of his skin as it blew him further into the woods crashing through multiple trees before landing on the ground hard.
"Pathetic," Alicia said, her voice more bored than anything. "Is this all you've got? Really? Cause if it is, you're not really worth my time. Or the effort it would take to kill you."
She said as she was about turn around and walk away, she heard a sound from behind her.
It was Jinrai, struggling to his feet. His body was shredded and bleeding profusely and yet... There was a look in his eyes that sparked curiousity in Alicia.
"Hoh. So you still intend to fight me huh." She spoke as she tapped the side of her suit and a mechanical hand fan materialized from her weapons compartment.
Almost like he was reciprocating her actions, he reached into his space ring, pulling out a massive greatsword.
The weapon was almost as tall as he was, its blade gleaming with mana. He gripped it tightly, his eyes locking onto Alicia.
"Terran brat, I will make you rue this day," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Alicia raised an eyebrow, her smirk never wavering. "Oh, so you've got a big sword now? Big whoop. How's that supposed to save you?"
"Like this." Jinrai said as his voice deepened and his body began growing. His fur darkened, his eyes reddened like they were going mad.
Drool fell from his mouth as he growled. "You will rue this day Terran brat. The day you gave Jinrai, the berserker a chance to go berserk."
ROARR!!
He roared loudly for everyone to hear.
The berserk Jinrai then lunged at her, appearing before her almost instantly, swinging his giant sword to cleave her body in two.
She narrowly dodged the slash as she then summoned a bolt of lightning from the sky and sent it toward Jinrai.
He smacked it away with his sword as the lightning bolt razed a tree down completely and continued.
"You're stronger than I thought," Alicia admitted, as her voice began taking a serious tone as she took a stance.
This time she lunged at Jinrai, reaching him almost immediately as lightning trailed behind her.
"Peekaboo..." She said as she sliced through Jinrai's mana enhanced skin with almost relative ease.
"...I see you." She completed, her voice playful again as Jinrai knelt to the ground, clutching at his abdominal region.
"This is the end I fear." Alicia announced as she walked over to where he knelt.
"You did your very best. Unfortunately for you, you just could not beat me..."
"...lesser." She added, mockingly.
Her words seemed to have an effect as Jinrai ignoring his pain rose in anger as he slashed at Alicia unexpectedly.
She quickly brought her fan to parry but the force behind the slash still sent her backwards.
"Haaa. Haa." Jinrai breathed heavily. 'These Terrans. What.... are.... they?' He questioned as one hand was still clutched to his stomach.
"Enough of this." Alicia's angry voice suddenly spoke out as she raised her hands to the sky.
The storm obeyed her call as massive dark clouds gathered above her as giant wind currents tore everything around her and subsequent lightning storm burnt everything the wind missed.
Jinrai, upon seeing the massive storm couldn't help but chuckle a desolate chuckle.
'This isn't power a cadet should possess.' He thought as the giant lightning bolt Alicia just threw at consumed him and everything else around him.
As the smoke cleared, so too noticeably, all the trees in the area were gone.
Alicia looked at the dust pile Jinrai had been turned into as she hissed and turned around to walk away.
Not before cleaning the small blood Jinrai had managed to draw from her before he died.
