The timeline shifted back a few minutes to when the two quasi-Elite level Pokémon abandoned Harley and fled.

Unlike Eddie's bold and commanding presence as he swept through Team Rocket's forces, Green was being extremely cautious at this moment, glancing left and right every few steps she took.

She moved as if an Articuno might suddenly appear from somewhere on Seafoam Island and startle her to death.

"Damn it, just thinking about that bird Pokémon being here, especially that massive bird, makes me tremble," Green muttered to herself, her voice a mixture of complaint and genuine fear.

She truly couldn't handle facing those large bird Pokémon right now. The mere thought of encountering one made her shake, and she worried she might collapse on the spot if she actually saw one.

That's why she would take ten steps forward, then spend several minutes surveying her surroundings—being extremely careful with every movement.

Green knew perfectly well that this behavior was pointless self-deception that wouldn't actually protect her, but she was scared and could only perform these meaningless actions to distract herself from her anxiety.

Fortunately, she wasn't traveling alone. She had already released Blastoise, Clefairy, and Jigglypuff—her three strongest Pokémon. They accompanied Green as she advanced at a painfully slow pace.

However, as she continued forward, she suddenly heard the sounds of people screaming in the distance.

"Screaming? It sounds like Eddie has found Team Rocket. Is he attacking them so openly because the three main leaders aren't here?" Green immediately understood that Eddie was unleashing his overwhelming power. But Eddie had told her beforehand that he would only fight Team Rocket so aggressively when he was certain the three executive officers weren't present.

Green concluded that the three Team Rocket executives must not be on the island, and this realization made her feel somewhat relieved about Eddie's safety.

"As long as those three executives aren't here, with Eddie's strength, even if the enemy has a Gym Leader-level trainer, they won't stand a chance against him."

Green had absolute faith in Eddie's abilities. After all, he had demonstrated his power countless times before. She had witnessed Eddie overwhelm his opponents repeatedly, even when facing something as formidable as a quasi-Elite level Dragonite.

"But Eddie is over in that direction right now, and I don't know if Articuno might be there too. I should probably avoid going that way and disturbing him."

Green understood her own limitations all too well. If she didn't suffer from this fear of bird Pokémon, she could at least provide support alongside Eddie. But because of her phobia, she wasn't even qualified to serve as backup.

"Blast!!"

Just as Green was about to head in a different direction, her Blastoise suddenly roared beside her.

Without waiting for Green's command, Blastoise fired a Hydro Pump directly toward Eddie's location.

As the sound of the Hydro Pump striking its targets echoed through the air, a Weezing and a Muk materialized before Green.

"Weezing and Muk? Blastoise's attack barely left a scratch on them? Could it be that..."

Green noticed something was seriously wrong with these Pokémon. Even though they seemed to be in a hurry to escape, the aura they emanated was extraordinarily powerful.

She immediately pulled out her Pokédex and scanned the two Pokémon that had just been hit.

Name: Weezing Level: 60 (Quasi-Elite level)

Name: Muk Level: 60 (Quasi-Elite level)

"...!"

"Blastoise! Launch yourself into the air with Hydro Pump!"

When Green saw their strength levels, shock flashed across her face, but she quickly recovered and made a split-second decision, ordering Blastoise to use Hydro Pump to propel itself skyward for a better position.

While giving orders to Blastoise, she simultaneously used her Pokédex to send an emergency message to Eddie requesting help.

Green was quite a capable trainer. Becoming an Peak-level trainer at her age was already an impressive achievement, and her Blastoise possessed top-tier Peak-level strength. Given a bit more time, advancing to become a Gym Leader-level trainer would be well within her reach.

If the two Pokémon facing her were merely Gym Leader-level opponents, she could actually handle the situation herself without needing to call Eddie for help.

But now she was confronting two quasi-Elite level Pokémon. Sorry, but she couldn't handle even one of them, let alone two simultaneously.

What made matters worse was that Green's three strongest main Pokémon were precisely the ones she had already released: Blastoise, Clefairy, and Jigglypuff.

Muk and Weezing were both Poison-type Pokémon, which meant they had a type advantage against her Fairy-type Pokémon, Clefairy and Jigglypuff.

Right now, Green could only rely on Blastoise to fight against both of them. The situation was extremely critical.

"Wait for me! Muk, Weezing, you two wait for me!"

Just as Green was desperately trying to figure out how to stall for time until Eddie could arrive for the rescue, someone wearing a Team Rocket uniform suddenly came running over, crying.

Muk and Weezing had actually been planning to continue their escape, but they had just been attacked by Green's Blastoise with Hydro Pump. Although it didn't hurt or even itch much, it had delayed them for several dozen seconds.

By that time, Harley, who had been running behind them, had caught up.

Well, Muk and Weezing decided they didn't want to run anymore. After all, their trainer had caught up with them, and Eddie wasn't nearby. So they would simply wait for Harley.

Objectively speaking, this entire crisis had been caused by Blastoise attacking on its own initiative and blocking Muk and Weezing's escape route. Blastoise was the true culprit!

However, Green and Blastoise had no way of knowing the specific circumstances at that moment. They assumed the two Pokémon had discovered her presence and then deliberately attacked her.

After all, most wild Pokémon behaved that way. What's more, when Green saw Harley approaching, she immediately concluded that Team Rocket was trying to eliminate her.

"Blastoise! Use Rapid Spin! Clefairy and Jigglypuff! Use Sing!"

Green acted decisively and launched the first strike. She immediately pulled out earplugs and inserted them into both her own ears and Blastoise's ears.

Blastoise retracted into its shell and used Rapid Spin to charge toward Muk and Weezing.

However, Blastoise didn't actually attack them. Instead, it circled around them rapidly on the ground, kicking up a massive cloud of dust that obscured their vision completely.

Since Blastoise didn't know the move Smokescreen, it used an alternative method to achieve the same effect.

Clefairy and Jigglypuff immediately began singing loudly to Muk and Weezing, whose vision had been completely blocked.

This move didn't distinguish between allies and enemies. Except for the Pokémon using Sing, who were immune to their own song, all other Pokémon and humans would be affected by it.

That's precisely why Green had taken out earplugs and protected both herself and Blastoise from the effects.

Harley ran over, gasping for breath, and before he could comprehend what was happening, he heard Clefairy and Jigglypuff singing in harmony.

As a human being without any special resistance, he immediately fell asleep and collapsed onto the ground.

As for Weezing and Muk, they managed to put up some resistance due to their superior strength levels.

If they could attack Clefairy and Jigglypuff during this brief window of resistance, they could interrupt the singing attack and avoid falling asleep entirely.

Unfortunately for them, anticipating precisely this possibility, Green had ordered Blastoise to use Rapid Spin to create an effect similar to Smokescreen. This caused Muk and Weezing to lose their sight, making it impossible for them to locate Clefairy and Jigglypuff's positions.

If they couldn't find their targets, they couldn't hit them.

As a result, both Pokémon eventually succumbed to the effects of Sing and fell asleep.

"Although using Sing against opponents several levels higher won't be very effective, and even if they fall asleep they'll wake up quickly because of the huge gap in strength..."

"But unfortunately for them, Eddie has already received my message and is rushing over here right now. If they sleep for just a minute or two, he'll arrive soon enough."

"Once he gets here, no matter how strong you two are, you're finished~~~"

As Green spoke, she cheerfully raised her fingers in a V-sign to celebrate her great victory~~~

Even though all of this depended entirely on Eddie's help, Green felt no shame about it whatsoever. Instead, she thought of herself as quite clever.

After all, they were a couple, so if Eddie won, didn't that essentially mean she won too?
