Shelia waved a hand without looking up. "Mm."
Then she shoved more food into her mouth at once.
Isabella looked at her in disbelief, then laughed again.
"Calm down," she said. "The food is not running away."
Shelia gave a vague sound that might have meant agreement, might have meant leave me alone, and might have meant both at once. Either way, she did not stop eating.
That made Isabella feel even more amused.
Honestly, this girl was always one step away from embarrassing herself over food, and somehow that made her kind of adorable.
Just as Isabella reached for one of the bowls meant to be taken over, Cyrus stood up a little from where he sat and reached out.
"Let me go for you," he said gently. "The floor may be slippery, and you only just finished eating. I can take it."
