Chapter 684 - Chapter 684: West Kai

"Have you finished the homework I gave you?" North Kai asked in a low voice.

Ino replied with an "OK" gesture, took out something that looked like a tablet from her bag, and displayed it.

North Kai was very pleased; Ino's serious "study" was the best support for him.

For the Core People race, battle power was merely incidental; their inheritance of knowledge was their most precious wealth.

This object that looked like a tablet was actually a book. It was difficult to accurately name it using the languages of Earth or the shinobi world. If one had to force a name, it could be called "Core People Elementary Grade 1 Ideology and Morality, Volume 1"...

The reason for having Ino read this was mainly for her to learn the language of the Core People and incidentally understand the cultural traditions of the Core People on the World Core Planet.

Not learn it? That was actually an option too. When facing the Grand Kai, the language comprehension ability could solve ninety-nine percent of communication problems, but Ino still spent a great deal of energy specifically learning this language.

This was the refined tongue! The King Kais, Grand Kai, Supreme Kais, and Grand Supreme Kai all spoke this language; it was the proper "Mandarin" of the divine realm.

Son Goku could rely on his fighting prowess to push his way from Earth all the way to Grand Zeno, but Ino couldn't. Her talent in combat was limited. In the "system," one had to blend in properly; not knowing the official language meant losing at the starting line.

She had to learn it!

It was very strenuous for her to learn. The King Kais possessed inherited knowledge from the moment they hung as fruit on the trees, knowing many things naturally.

She lacked the prerequisite knowledge. Suddenly coming into contact with a massive language system was like reading a celestial tome. She had to force her "Wisdom" stat to 11 points just to barely finish the first volume of the Grade 1 Ideology and Morality textbook...

At this moment, she exchanged a couple of sentences with the Kai in the Core People language.

"That's very good, no major problems. Let's go in."

The two stepped onto the Grand Kai's Planet.

Ino took a deep breath. The energy on the Grand Kai's Planet was even more dense than on King Kai's Planet.

Son Goku training on the Grand Kai's Planet allowed him to reach the level of Super Saiyan 3. However, upon returning to Earth, the phenomenon commonly known as "leaking gas" occurred, and he couldn't maintain Super Saiyan 3 at all.

Vegeta simply didn't have a Super Saiyan 3 transformation, upgrading directly from Super Saiyan 2 to Super Saiyan God.

Super Saiyan 3 seemed to be a typical Other World transformation state.

The energy of the living world wasn't enough to support such an extreme transformation.

The environment here carried energy—very pure, attribute-less energy. If the energy concentration of the repaired shinobi world was 1, then Earth was 3, King Kai's Planet was roughly 3, and the Grand Kai's Planet was 10!

Training and breaking through here would be a very easy task. The bottlenecks that made one wish for death in a low-energy environment didn't exist here.

"What a great place." Ino shook her shoulders. Over her Six Paths robe, which bore the character for "God," she draped the Shinigami haori, wantonly absorbing the natural energy here to nourish her body and spirit.

Frequent use of the Eight Inner Gates and the Kaio-ken had caused some hidden injuries deep within her meridians. Such damage required gradual repair even with a Sage body. Now, with massive amounts of energy inhaled into her body, she felt her chakra meridians slowly repairing and widening. Mentally, she felt incredibly comfortable, the fatigue accumulated from learning the language swept away.

"Hmph, what an uncouth country bumpkin. North Kai, is this your subordinate?" A slightly shrill voice sounded from the side. Ino turned her head to see a short, stout, purple-skinned fatty wearing a monocle over his left eye, walking over slowly with a swagger.

This guy was even shorter than North Kai, and his clothes also bore the characters for "King Kai."

North Kai was very protective of Ino and roared: "West Kai! Put away that sarcastic face of yours. Ino isn't my subordinate, she is my disciple."

West Kai revealed a mocking smile: "A piece of trash's disciple, isn't that just another piece of trash?"

Ino glared at him. This guy was full of malice, clearly here to cause trouble. Since he was North Kai's enemy, he was naturally her enemy too; there was no need to be polite.

Ino had done a lot of homework recently for the First Other World Martial Arts Tournament.

This West Kai, who looked full of resentment, might not understand the principle that "kung fu lies outside the ring."

He completely failed to realize the crux of the problem.

Ino stepped forward to mock him: "Lord West Kai, your initial suggestion to convene the First Other World Martial Arts Tournament was excellent, but I suggest that next time, you don't make suggestions.

Your idea was good, but your own ability is insufficient. Lord Grand Kai obviously thinks Lord North Kai is more suitable to lead this work. Doesn't our presence here explain the problem? The facts are right in front of your eyes: you are trash."

"What did you say? You bastard! A puny planetary kami dares to speak to me like that?!" West Kai exploded with rage. Purely in terms of battle power, this guy was actually higher than North Kai. But where was this? This was the Grand Kai's Planet! Did he dare to use force?

North Kai rarely gained the upper hand in a dispute. At this moment, he crossed his arms, looking cheerful and nodding continuously.

Ino opened fire fully, maxing out her taunt skills: "You don't even dare to admit your own lack of ability. You're not just trash, you're a coward, a weakling, and a fool who can't see his own limits...

Oh, no, I misspoke. Actually, you know about your limited intelligence, but you're timid. You're afraid your colleagues will discover your weakness, so you choose to curl up into a ball. As long as I don't say it myself, others won't discover I'm a retard, right? You're not a turtle shrinking into its shell; you're the ancestor of shrinking turtles!"

"I'm going to kill you!" West Kai was furious. He raised his hand and fired a spiraling energy shockwave.

Ino shielded North Kai, not applying any state buffs, nor using the Kaio-ken, appearing as if she were frightened by the sudden attack.

West Kai's base battle power was estimated to be over ten thousand. Striking out in anger now, his power was unstoppable.

Ino forcibly held back from retaliating. Watching the spiraling energy shockwave getting closer and closer, she remained motionless.

When the shockwave was only a few inches away from her, it was suddenly forcibly stopped by an invisible barrier. Ino, close at hand, felt no excess energy leaking from the shockwave at all; it was completely absorbed by that barrier. Afterwards, a burst of rather chaotic music sounded.

Saying Xiao Feng enters with his own speakers is a joke, but the Grand Kai really did come with speakers.

The Grand Kai walked with strange dance steps. He wasn't wearing the formal attire exclusive to the Grand Kai, but looked like a trendy, avant-garde old man. He wore a tattered denim vest and jeans, sported punk-style sunglasses, carried a boombox on his shoulder, and leisurely walked out of the palace.

"Lord Grand Kai!"

Ino also followed the two Kais in bowing and greeting him.
