Ino began her heavy assault.
The fire phoenix soared into the high sky, its wings unfurling to a length of a full ten thousand meters. Countless feathers formed from spiritual power rained down from the heavens.
The color of the feathers shifted from golden to a half-white, half-black hue. Ino infused them with the properties of the black receivers, launching them using Kaguya's ultimate technique.
"Yachi Hoko no Kami!"
The feathers, falling like a torrential downpour, bombarded the area for five solid minutes. The zone where Black-clothed Bardock stood was forcibly carved into a bottomless crater. He completely defended against the attack using an energy shield, but he couldn't completely negate the impact force. His body was driven directly into the ground, leaving him looking rather disheveled.
The underground magma didn't care who he was; the intense heat from the planet's core surged out from all directions.
From inside the fire phoenix, Ino made a very rare hand seal. The phoenix opened its beak and spat out a smaller phoenix, reduced in size by a full circumference. This bird combined the characteristics of both the Steam Imp Explosion and clay bombs, while its core borrowed heavily from Momoshiki Otsutsuki's signature moves.
"Pheasant Hunt!"
The small phoenix plunged into the earth's core. Then, under Frieza's astounded gaze and accompanied by a high-pitched, resonant cry, it completely detonated!
Ino deactivated her Susanoo. Right before the explosion, she successively used two teleportation abilities belonging to the West Supreme Kai.
She teleported directly into space, a million kilometers away from Planet Namek.
Subsequently, Planet Namek's internal core began to contract. Countless beams of energy pierced through the planet's crust like pillars of light. Finally, all the energy gathered together in a single second and reacted. Endless light and heat erupted in that single instant.
The blinding light affected even Ino, forcing her to retreat another million kilometers. She then watched as Planet Namek, at the edge of her vision, transformed into a massive fireball.
Countless fragments of the planet's crust were launched by the force of the explosion. Even more thermal energy diffused in all directions, as if a gigantic firework had been ignited within the universe.
Ino used the West Supreme Kai's super vision to search the area. After looking for quite a while, she found no trace of Frieza or the Black-clothed Bardock. She didn't know if they had been blown to death or if they had escaped.
"Young Ino, where are you right now?" North Kai's voice echoed in her mind.
"Me? I'm in space," she answered with utter candor.
"...And Planet Namek?"
Ino calculated the time. "It exploded five minutes ago! Let me make this clear beforehand: Frieza did this, it has nothing to do with me."
North Kai clicked his tongue. This rare talent, Ino, was good at everything except this bad habit of constantly shifting the blame. What had he even said? And she immediately went with "it has nothing to do with me"?
"And what about Frieza?"
"I have no idea. He might have been swept up in the turbulent energy streams when the planet exploded, right? I ran away really early on."
North Kai: "..."
You're quite proud of that, aren't you?
The guy who was "blowing up the planet" didn't manage to escape and got caught in it himself, while you, the innocent bystander, ran away pretty damn fast. Hehe.
"So, do you think Frieza is dead?" he asked.
Ino didn't jump to conclusions but pondered seriously for a moment. "It's hard to say. Actually, Frieza didn't even use 100% of his energy in his final moments. The planet's explosion might not necessarily claim his life, but heavy injuries are unavoidable. During our previous fight, I cut him in half at the waist, and then... Huh? I found a piece of something that looks like Frieza's tail. King Kai, do you want this thing? If you want it, I'll send it over to you."
Even knowing she couldn't see him, North Kai still waved his hands repeatedly. Frieza's tail? What the hell would I use that for?
Ino searched until her eyes were sore, only then managing to pick out a severed section of the tail from the planetary debris. The rest of him was simply nowhere to be seen.
Frieza was resilient as a cockroach. Ino didn't believe that Planet Namek's explosion would take this guy out in one go. The energy in the blast zone was far too chaotic, and the area of the explosion was massive. She had no way to search it thoroughly.
How could she even search? How big is the surface area of a planet, and how vast does it become after it explodes? There were energy residues everywhere, severely limiting her sensory abilities. Relying solely on her eyes to search was too exhausting; she wouldn't be able to search the entire area even if she looked for three years.
If Frieza had been flung millions of kilometers away along with the crust fragments during the explosion, she definitely wouldn't be able to find him.
North Kai began to talk about the situation on Earth. She was listening absentmindedly at first, but then suddenly interjected, "Planet Namek's Shenron was summoned? And there's still one wish left? Tell them to wait, I need to ask Shenron a question."
The matter with Black-clothed Bardock was truly bizarre. Ino also happened to want to discuss building civilized planets with the Namekians. She immediately activated the Crossing Moon Bridge and arrived on Earth.
"This is Frieza's tail, Goku. You guys can keep it as a souvenir." She casually handed the severed tail over to Son Goku.
You guys need to catch this blame securely. Later on, if some guy named Cooler comes looking for revenge, just tell him you were the ones who killed Frieza!
"Ouch, ouch, it's hot, it's hot!" Having just survived a planetary explosion, the temperature of the tail was extremely high. Son Goku had grabbed it subconsciously and immediately found the thing burning hot. He tossed it from his left hand to his right, and from his right hand to his left, his actions looking rather comical.
"This is Frieza's...?" Vegeta stared with wide eyes, his face full of shock.
Ino gave a casual, dismissive reply. "Yeah, yeah."
"You defeated Frieza?"
"That guy underestimated me too much and had no guard up whatsoever. It was just a fluke."
Ignoring Vegeta, whose worldview had just been shattered to pieces, Ino looked toward the Namekian Shenron, Porunga.
She had saved the Namekians, so they had absolutely no objections to her asking the dragon a question now.
Since the masters of the dragon had no objections, the Earthlings naturally had even less.
Ino's question was phrased vaguely, but she felt Porunga should understand what she meant. "I saw a black-clothed warrior earlier. Do you know where he comes from?"
Porunga's forehead began to sweat again. All of you, one by one, are just making things difficult for me! This is too hard!
"This... this, I cannot say..."
The manner of Black-clothed Bardock's earlier appearance had given Ino a fresh understanding of her right eye's time rift ability. If Porunga didn't dare to speak within the normal flow of time, then how about we go into the time rift? You can quietly tell me there, right?
Ino looked at Porunga's size. This guy's head was almost poking out of the atmosphere; his body was simply too colossal...
She said to Son Goku, "I need to have a private talk with this Shenron, don't get excited."
Son Goku didn't understand her meaning. Piccolo and the others were also clueless about what she intended to do with this out-of-the-blue remark.
"Haa—!" Ino clenched her fists tightly. Golden ki flared out from her body once again, with a massive amount of energy concentrating around her eyes.
A nearly tangible pressure bore down on the hearts of everyone present.
Vegeta clenched his teeth and flew into one of the Frieza Force's spaceships.
He wasn't running away; he wanted to use the large battle power detector inside the ship to take a measurement.
Looking at the final calculated value, he smashed the display screen to pieces with an angry punch.
Ino was unaware that she had just heavily provoked Vegeta once again. After entering her Super Otsutsuki state, she pulled both Porunga and herself into the time rift.
