Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - Freya, Awakening

Lucas descended to the stage and pulled out a floating crystal globe about the size of a football from seemingly nowhere. It glowed with a pulsing golden hue as it bobbed in the hands of the principal.

"This is an Awakening Orb made from a High-Grade Mana Crystal, this will transport you to the Origin Domain to roll your Talent and choose your Class. Now as I call out your names, you may step up the stage and touch the awakening orb." he said and grabbed a list from the Vice Principal.

"First, Freya Morgan" his voice echoed through the hall as the black haired beauty stood up from her seat and stepped up to the platform. Her vivid blood red eyes focused on the glowing orb in front of her. She hesitated and slowly reached out, grabbing the orb in her slender hands.

Just as her fingers touched the orb, she disappeared in thin air.

"What do you think she will awaken?"

"At least a B-Rank Talent and a Grade 7 Class, afterall she is from the infamous Blood Walker Clan."

"Ha, I wish I was born in such a family."

A few students discussed by themselves the prospects of the school's ice beauty, their faces green with envy and jealousy as they waited for her to reappear. Her disappearance did not shock them in the least as they had watched the Awakening Ceremony of their seniors.

"Everyone, Silence and maintain the decorum." The Vice Principal commanded as he saw the disturbance growing.

Minutes passed in tense anticipation as the students stared at the empty stage, the golden orb still floating quietly in Lucas' hand. Some whispered excitedly while others nervously rehearsed what they would do once their names were called.

Then suddenly—

A crimson light burst into existence above the platform.

The air rippled as if space itself had been disturbed, and Freya's figure slowly emerged from the distortion. Her long black hair fluttered despite the absence of wind, and faint crimson particles drifted around her body before fading into nothingness.

She landed gracefully on the stage, her expression calm and unreadable, though her blood-red eyes seemed sharper than before.

The Awakening Orb reacted violently the moment she returned.

Golden light erupted from its surface before changing into a deep scarlet glow. Strange runic symbols circled around the orb one after another, causing the entire hall to erupt in chaos.

Lucas' relaxed expression stiffened slightly as he stared at the result appearing within the crystal sphere.

A moment later, glowing letters projected themselves into the air above Freya.

[Talent: Blood Monarch Physique — S-Rank]

Gasps instantly erupted across the hall.

"That's an S-Rank Talent!"

"No wonder… she really is a monster."

"But wait—what about her Class?"

The orb pulsed once more.

[Class: Crimson Valkyrie — Grade 8]

'She will definitely be enrolled in the Blood Monarch Academy now.' was the only thought that came to mind after looking at her class.

Even some of the teachers looked visibly shocked. Mr. Duncan had a smug smile plastered on his face because he knew he was going to get massive rewards from the Academy and the Association.

Freya, however, showed little reaction. She merely glanced at the floating words before calmly stepping off the stage under countless gazes filled with admiration, jealousy, and disbelief.

'Hmmm interesting, what is that old coot doing by influencing her. Does he know I travelled back to this world to gain strength again?' The brief flicker of contemplation vanished from Daniel's eyes as the atmosphere in the hall gradually settled once more.

Lucas slowly regained his composure and tapped his cane against the stage. Though even he could not completely hide the faint smile on his aged face.

"A remarkable awakening," he said before looking back at the list in his hand.

"Next, Darkus Ravenclaw."

A tall boy with pale skin and sharp crimson eyes stepped onto the stage. Whispers immediately spread through the crowd as faint shadows curled around his boots.

The moment his hand touched the Awakening Orb, the golden glow darkened into deep violet before abruptly vanishing. For a split second, the entire hall fell into darkness.

Then the light returned.

[Talent: Negashade Summoning - A Rank]

[Class: Shadow King - Grade 5]

A pair of curved black daggers materialized behind him before fading away like smoke.

"An assassin-type class…" someone muttered in shock.

Darkus merely smirked and walked off the stage without another word.

Lucas however didn't react this time and maintained a stoic expression.

"Next, Selene Whitmore."

The atmosphere calmed as a girl with emerald eyes stepped onto the platform.

Warm green light spread from the orb the moment she touched it. Her form was replaced by Illusory flowers that spread around the stage before everything she abruptly reappeared.

A second later, soft green radiance returned like the first light of dawn.

[Talent: Nature's Helper - S Rank]

[Class: Spirit Druid - Grade 7]

Transparent vines spiraled around Selene before dissolving into motes of mana.

"Healing and nature affinity…" Lucas muttered with interest.

Selene gave a graceful bow before stepping down from the stage. The lingering green radiance slowly faded from the hall, yet the amazement in the students' eyes remained.

Even the teachers exchanged surprised glances, clearly impressed by the rare support-type awakening.

Lucas lightly tapped his cane against the stage once more, drawing everyone's attention back toward him.

"Arthur Graves."

After waiting for around an hour, Daniel's name was finally called.

"Daniel Williams

Hearing his name being called, he stood up with a devilishly handsome smile. His abyss-like black eyes observed the awakening orb.

'Weak'

This was the only thought running through his mind as he walked up to the stage.

'This weak little thing absolutely, can't awaken The Hollow Crown, or even The Last Paragon. Should I force the focus of the energy towards Space Paragon? Its still an 3$3@#$@ rank Class and Talent.'

'Maybe it can awaken a part of the Ruler's Authority as well, but sucking that entire thing up will draw too much attention, instead I should go with those 3 Origin Talents and just 1 class. I will awaken the rest later.'

His thoughts finally ended as he reached the orb, his hands floated above the orb.

The moment he touched it he disappeared.
