Chapter 148 - Chapter 146

Are Kozuki Oden's Advanced Armament Haki and Rayleigh's Advanced Armament Haki on the same level?

In this world, there are countless powerful individuals.

Roger, Red-Haired, Beckman, the three Admirals, Fujitora—they're one type.

Kozuki Oden, Kaido, and Big Mom—they're something else entirely.

You could say all these people stand on the same level, but there's a fundamental difference between them.

Kozuki Oden managed to throw his wet nurse across a room before he was even a year old. At two, he caught two rabbits bare-handed. At four, he hurled a boulder to kill a giant bear. By six, he was already a regular in the red-light district, wielding a real sword and pistol.

People blessed with such talent seem favored by the heavens—even if they do nothing, they can grow into unimaginable monsters. This is incredible not only in terms of physical ability, but also in understanding true strength. It's extremely hard to kill someone this powerful—their bodies barely suffer from wounds or aging.

The same goes for Big Mom. It's as if she was born to be an Emperor.

But their power doesn't mean they can't be killed. If you really want to take down Big Mom, with Rayleigh-level Advanced Armament Haki and several allies on par with the three Admirals, you could kill her in a matter of days and nights. Monsters like this have simply reached the apex of defense.

In truth, this is exactly what Ezekiel lacks now. His body is already very strong, but it still can't compare to the physical toughness of Fujitora—let alone the fact that Fujitora himself lags far behind Big Mom.

Sadly, this is a special kind of talent gap that no amount of effort can bridge… The Cellphone Fruit is unique. Maybe, in the future, there will be a chance for it to change—who can say?

Hancock had already prepared sea stone handcuffs.

Big Mom charged at Ezekiel again. But this time, Ezekiel didn't move and sheathed his sword. After all, he was the King, and he didn't need to fight himself. Big Mom no longer warranted his personal attention.

"Gravity Sword!" Fujitora swung downward, and a tremendous force of gravity slammed down on Big Mom, but it only slightly slowed her movements.

Boom!

Zephyr unleashed a powerful burst of ice, freezing Big Mom's entire body. But in the next instant, the ice shattered, and with a low growl, Big Mom continued attacking.

Crash!

Hancock kicked her in the stomach and sent her flying several meters.

Before Big Mom could recover, Zephyr's attack struck again…

Surrounded by Admiral-level combatants, Big Mom could barely fight back. There was no need to waste unnecessary energy. Still, they were far from causing her any fatal wounds.

At that moment, a deafening roar echoed from beyond the island, and Ezekiel frowned slightly as he noticed pirates and Alabasta soldiers rushing toward them.

Smoothie was more at ease in this misty world, but that didn't mean they could win—even with all the members of Big Mom's pirate crew—especially since they weren't planning to fight and were actually running toward Big Mom

Charlotte Linlin had 46 sons and 39 daughters. Her eldest son, Perospero, spotted Ezekiel and leapt up, his whole body transforming into a mass of purple candy-like syrup.

"Candy Wave!"

A furious surge of candy swept toward Ezekiel. For Perospero, the worst thing right now would be to step onto the battlefield where Big Mom was. But launching a sneak attack first? That was a foolproof move.

At that moment, Ezekiel was watching the fight between Big Mom, Hancock, and Zephyr, though he glanced over from time to time at Luffy, who seemed to have already defeated Oars, leaving the giant unable to fight back.

Just as Perospero launched his attack, the blind samurai stepped in front of Ezekiel and slowly drew his sword.

"Ferocious Tiger!"

Boom!

A terrifying force of gravity burst forth, forming an invisible cannon that shot straight through the candy wave from the spot where the sword had pierced the ground.

Perospero was stunned. In the next instant, he saw the blind samurai slowly open a pair of clouded white eyes.

"The King of Alabasta would never stoop to cowardly sneak attacks like you do!"

The gravity attack continued. The ground cracked open, the fracture racing toward Perospero! His face darkened, his heart skipped a beat, and terror gripped him.

"Damn! This enemy's on another level! Mama, maybe you can handle this on your own?" Perospero panicked in fright.

"Candy Armor!" he shouted, barely able to withstand the crushing gravity as he covered himself in a layer of candy plating...

"Daifuku!"

A huge man, Charlotte Daifuku—Big Mom's fourth child—rubbed his body to summon a djinn, who immediately charged at Fujitora, raising a giant fist to strike. Fujitora blocked the attack and countered, but the djinn simply dissolved without taking any damage.

Daifuku's ability turned him into a lamp-man, allowing him to summon a djinn.

A djinn… but that power's still a bit underwhelming.

Fujitora saw what happened but didn't even flinch.

Boom!

The ground was torn apart beneath them.

That dreadful, invisible gravity instantly pinned the lamp-man to the earth, making it impossible for him to break free from its crushing weight.

Fujitora slowly lifted his head, his smile just a bit unsettling.

"All for show! You're facing an opponent who can't be beaten with cheap tricks like that. You're nothing but a gang who dares provoke the King of Alabasta."

Sweat broke out on Daifuku and Perospero's foreheads.

He's a monster!

Fighting raged all over the island.

Gekko Moria shifted his gaze between Luffy, locked in battle with Oars, and Big Mom, casting a greedy look at the shadows of Big Mom, Hancock, and the others:

"What incredibly powerful shadows…At that moment, an intense sense of danger suddenly surged in his chest, and Gekko Moria's breathing turned ragged before he could even react.

He saw an incredibly terrifying gleam from a descending sword.

His pupils narrowed as he recognized the familiar face behind the round glasses.

Silvers Rayleigh!

Gekko Moria's eyes rolled back, and he lost consciousness.

This strike hadn't actually been particularly strong—Rayleigh had no intention of killing him. Instead, he pressed a den den mushi, hidden at his waistband, into Gekko Moria's hand.

"That completes the mission," Rayleigh muttered.
