"Woah! Omegaverse really is amazing. I've never thought that I'll get so immersed in reading something like this! The concept of omega and alpha seems like something a hopeless romantic thing would come up with! Who could have thought of something amazing like this? What was going on with their mind when they published their thoughts about it? Oh, goodness! It wasn't even that long since omegaverse started its debut, but look how many readers it got hooked on! The thought of a love between two men who's an alpha and omega, blooming with child really got hooked the readers. I mean, I got hooked, too, because what is this?!"
Coco babbled like a nerd. That's right, that was the first time she read something like that.
She loves reading, but she has never encountered something nor thought of something like this!
If it weren't for her big sister then she wouldn't have stumbled upon such a masterpiece concept! She love romance for as long as she can remember.
Her big sister had bought her all kinds of books that has romance in it.
For her, the romance between two characters that went through a traumatic experience is a reward.
I wish I could write something like this, but midterm is coming.. Ugh, my group's thesis needs some revision too. Coco grumbled in her thought as she dropped her phone on the bed.
She doesn't like studying, but she needs her college degree to get into a good company. She has been doing her best to stay on top of her class to not waste her potential as the second daughter of her mother.
She and her sisters have been on the top of their respective grade levels.
Her big sister, Corinne, graduated with summa cumlaude in her college days, now, she's graduating under the same university with the same honour.
Her little sister, Carina, will be a freshman after her graduation— it's just a few weeks away! Just look how amazing they are!
The three sisters are the only children that their mother have, so they can't afford to make it hard for her. Thus, the bloom of their drive to success.
We're not geniuses, but we're hard workers. Coco thought proudly with fire in her eyes, then she let out a gasp when she remembered the requirement she needed to graduate.
Ack! My thesis! Crap, crap, crap! Leader told me that if I don't contact her tonight, she'll be on my ass tomorrow! Gotta call the leader right now!
She spent all nighter that night just to finish the last revision of their thesis since it was assigned to her.
Of course, she wasn't alone. Her leader and other group members stayed up with her, working together to revise their paper with utmost determination to make it through for their graduation.
They are fourth-year students and are at the end of their college journey, so they can't afford to mess up!
The day of the research defense came around. Coco and her friends slash thesis group mates did their best to defend their thesis.
She might not be the best when it comes to presenting, but her friends got her back if she made a mistake!
That's how deep their bond is— and by the end of their presentation, they all let out a cheer when the professors concluded that their paper is indeed significant for future researchers.
Their hard works and all nighters paid off! How awesome is that—
"Human! Human! Don't die on me, human!" A high pitched voice cried out.
What..? Coco's mind was fuzzy.
She remembered getting home and being congratulated by her sisters since her mother wasn't home at the moment, then she excused herself to get her well deserved rest.
She doesn't know what's happening, but she could hear someone crying with desperation.
"Please, human! Stay awake..!" The voice kept crying, hiccuping and all.
"If only I've brought a healer fairy with me" The voice proceeded to sob, their voice cracking a little. "Don't die, human! Please! Don't die on me!"
The high pitched voice continued to cry like there's no tomorrow and Coco could only think of was how dramatic they were from the way they were crying.
It was as if she's dying.
On cue, Coco let out a cough. Her nostrils flared painfully, her throat itched adamantly and her airways constricting further for inhalation of oxygen.
She can taste something inside her mouth— one that is similar to a metal, but how would she taste something like that when she was just sleeping a few moments ago?
"No!" The voice gasped, followed by a sniffle. "No, no, no, no— there's so much blood! W-What should I do, human?! I don't know what to do! I-I was only curious about you— I didn't know something like this would happen.. I should have listened to my mother and have not gone through this dimension!"
"I'm so sorry, human..! I'm sorry!" Cried whoever, wailing continuously.
Coco opened her eyes and was immediately greeted by her bedroom's ceiling.
She sat up, or at least tried to, but she couldn't move because for some reason, her abdomen was throbbing painfully.
She could only turn her head and look around her room to find the source of those desperate cries, then her eyesight became blurry, making her eyes harder to keep open.
She couldn't breathe properly either, she's gasping for air and could barely supply her lungs with the oxygen she needed.
She's still not aware of what happened, but one thing is for sure.
I'm dying. She concluded without much fight.
Someone was crying and apologising, so she could more or less guess what happened.
She just felt regretful because her sisters and mother will come to her room, only to see that she passed in her sleep— and with that in mind, she closed her eyes, not bothering to fight her fading consciousness.
She wanted to apologise to her family for passing before celebrating, but she knew that she wouldn't be able to.
The thought left a rather bitter taste in her mouth.
We didn't even manage to celebrate.. The regret was hard to shake off, but at least, she thought positively despite her situation, she managed spend her life spending enough time with her family.
"Human!" The sight of something small with transparent wings that drops golden dust— similar to pixie dust she saw on tinkerbell movies crying.
Is she hallucinating because she's dying?
"Don't die!"
